2 WELCOME TO MICHAEL HUFF VP of Baseball/Fastpitch Outfield, Bunting, and Baserunning Instructor Michael Huff serves as the VP of Baseball/Fastpitch for the Bulls/Sox Academy. Michael is a former White Sox outfielder, from , and during his career in Chicago, Huff shared the field with Ozzie Guillen, Frank Thomas and Robin Ventura. He was also a member of the 1993 American West Division Champions. Michael is a local product who attended New Trier East High School in Winnetka and was drafted in the 16th round of the 1985 amateur draft out of Northwestern University. During his professional playing career, not only did he play with our beloved White Sox but roamed the field with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Cleveland Indians, and Toronto Blue Jays. He was on a Major League roster from 1989 through Michael Huff Chicago White Sox 2

3 Testimonials I searched the area for a good fit of hitting and pitching training for my 11U travel baseball team. I met with many training facility managers, including Mike Huff and Gerry Novak of the Bulls/Sox Academy. Mike and Gerry scheduled a face to face meeting to see exactly what I was looking for in my team training. After explaining what I wanted out of my training, they both agreed to draw up a lesson plan and present it to me before any contracts were signed. Both, Mike and Gerry, effectively explained their plan and approaches to the boys and the boys seemed to take it all in with ease. The eleven sessions were done in a methodical progression, where the boys fed off each session of training and ultimately had the best training and experience to date. I would strongly recommend any travel or youth baseball coach consider utilizing the Bulls/ Sox Academy for their team or even individual baseball training. Rich Sperando Woodridge, Illinois Bulldogs 11U Red Travel Baseball Team The success of the Park Ridge Baseball (Warriors) and Softball (Pistols) teams can be directly attributed to the preseason they receive at the Chicago Bulls/Sox Academy. Our travel players from ages 9-14 have been attending the White Sox Academy for 2 years. We were looking for a training program that would provide consistency, sound fundamentals for our young players, and enhanced skill level coaching for our older travel teams. The Chicago Bulls/Sox Academy has provided top level training in all of those facets at a great facility. Kathy Young started her off right with hitting fundamentals and we ve continued to enhance her hitting techniques over the years through Christine Wozniak. When it comes to learning how to hit better, Christine is that person she s skillful, humble, passionate, teaching from personal experience, and excited to show you the way. She takes great interest in Maddy s development. We ve been so thoroughly pleased with Maddy s results that we ve referred many of her teammates to participate in the fastpitch camps. The Roselle Rampage team has seen GREAT at-bat results this year due to the hitting fundamentals learned through the hitting camps, as well as, the team hitting/video analysis private sessions. 4 team Training Bring your team to our team training area and work with a member of our Bulls/Sox Academy professional staff. We ll help your team focus on the skills that you need during a one hour practice session. Hitting, fielding, throwing, baserunning we do it all! Along with expert training, we provide you and your team with state-of-the-art equipment to ensure an unparalleled training facility. TEAM TRAINING OVERVIEW Teams will have the ability to completely customize their training program to best fit their wants and needs, including: overall goals, length of training (both number of weeks and duration of training sessions), skill(s) to work on; and inclusion of Academy instructor(s) or not. Academy has experienced instructors available to teach any skill in a progressive manner to achieve maximum results within the time allocated. Academy instructors will not only work with your kids but also your coaches. We will provide tips and drills that can be run outside of Academy training sessions. Teams will have the ability to add strength and conditioning to their team training through our exclusive partner, Hard Gainers Athletics (HGA). See page 7 for more details. The Academy can provide fundraising options both inside the Academy as well as through the Chicago White Sox.
