The total number of offenses, including Part I crimes increased from 956 in the 1st quarter of 211 to 1,234 in the 1st quarter 211, which is a 29% (278) increase. The largest offense type decreases were for murder (1%) and forcible rape (5%). Increases were noted in: Robbery (113%) Aggravated Assault (83%) Larceny (1%) Auto Theft (9%) Other IBR offenses (43%) Other IBR Offenses most commonly consist of domestic violence, vandalism, and assault and battery st 212 1st Page 2
3 Half of the motor vehicle thefts occurred in the Baldwin Beat (6/12); 4 others occurred in the Weems I Beat. Five of the 17 robberies were to businesses. The beat with the most robberies was the Dean beat (7), followed by Round (4). The burglaries seemed to be evenly distributed, with 3-5 occurring in each beat. Page 3

This is an increase of 36% (18 more arrest charges). Adult arrest charges increased by 34%, a change of 167 charges and juvenile arrest charges have increased by 93%, a change of 13. Of the 679 arrest charges there were 514 people arrested. 49 of these criminal arrests were adults while 24 were juveniles. Domestic Violence arrests have decreased by 7% in the 1st quarter of 212 when compared to the 1st quarter of 211, a difference of 2 arrests. The intersections with the highest number of injuries from accidents was Ashton Avenue and Godwin Drive (9), Church Street and Grant Avenue (9), Liberia Avenue and Centreville Road (7), and Grant Avenue and Byrd Drive (7). In 211, Centreville Road/Liberia Avenue and Sudley Road/Digges Road had the highest number of injuries from accidents. There were no fatalities in the first quarter of 212. Page 13

This resulted in 56 accidents and 56 injuries, mostly where the driver did not have the right-ofway. The same was true in the first quarter of 211, however there were slightly more accidents. Where the driver did not have the right-of-way, there were 42 accidents with 29 injuries; where the driver was following too closely, there were 29 accidents and 12 injuries. Page 14
