M E A D O W S T R E E T Greetings, Newsletter Date: 05/06/13 During the reporting period of April 30, 2013 to May 27, 2013, the Sector experienced 0 violent compared to 4 violent crimes during the same date range in property crimes were reported. In comparison to the same date range in 2012, 61 property crimes were documented. The comparison reflects a 48% decrease. Our Neighborhoods Carillon Carytown Colonial Place Country Club of Va. Huguenot Malvern Gardens Mary Munford Monument Ave Museum District Sauer s Gardens Southhampton Stadium Stonewall Court Stony Point Stratford Hills Three Chopt Univ. of Richmond Westhampton Willow Lawn Willow Oaks Wilton Windsor Farms Oxford The Windsor Farms neighborhood experienced 7 residential burglaries and 16 Thefts From Motor Vehicles. Resources were allocated to stem the rise of property crimes. The increase in police presence, visibility, and surveillance has been successful and has led to multiple arrests. On 05/02/2013, Donald Moore was arrested and charged for breaking into two residences. One was in the 300 block of Portland and the other was in the 3800 block of Queen Charlotte Road. On 05/22/13, two juveniles were arrested in connection to a burglary in the 200 block of Banbury Road and 4200 block of Sulgrave Road. A third juvenile was also identified and arrested days later. On 06/6/13, at 2:30 a.m., a K-9 officer noticed a vehicle stopped in the roadway in the 2500 block of Coventry. A male, later identified as George Etter, Jr., was at the right front tire. Two other officers arrived and provided assistance. During the course of the investigation, it was discovered Mr. Etter had numerous warrants on file in Henrico County. He was arrested on the outstanding warrants and a narcotics violation. As always, please feel free to contact me reference any police issues or concerns you would like to be addressed.
