2 Bikeability Target: Train 1,440 children in 36 schools and inspire 25% to cycle to school, saving tonnes CO 2 (3yrs) Result: We trained 1,536 children in 42 schools! A 25% conversion rate will save tonnes CO2 (3yrs). We focussed mainly on Bikeability Level 2 to give children commuting skills.

3 The children above participated in a led ride from their primary school to their future high school where they enjoyed a display by The Clan stunt team. We didn t just teach Bikeability, we led rides and used events and activities to make cycling fun!

4 I really appreciate the support and encouragement Bike-ability gave my son who came with his school.

5 Employer Engagement Target: to engage intensively with 2 employers with at least 200 staff. Support and encourage 20 staff to change to cycling. Result: Sainsbury s and Dunedin Canmore Housing Association. Dr Bike Led rides Maintenance training Event support, including fundraisers undertaken by both organisations Cycle Friendly Employer certification.

6 In addition to Sainsbury s and Dunedin Canmore Housing Association, we worked with many employers over the year including Stirling Council, Active Stirling and the NHS. No less than nine employers achieved Cycle Friendly Employer status. This is our presentation to Active Stirling the Chief Executive cycles to work and encourages all his staff too!

7 Community Events Target: 12 events, engaging over 100 people particularly families Result: 31 events, from small and bespoke, to community gala days, to big cycling events, over 300 people engaged. Two events were cancelled due to weather and parking restrictions.

9 Community Bike Week Target: Engage 150 commuters during bike week and cycle to work day during 10 events. Result: Dr Bike service at the Stirling Cycle Hub but due to poor weather we did not meet target numbers for that specific week.

10 This led ride was with a group of young people and their Action in Mind befrienders. Doing M-check safety checks before heading out for an evening led-ride.

11 Community Cycle Training Target: 50 people engaged at 10 training events. Bike maintenance, led rides and cycle training. Result: 40 led rides and 31 bicycle mechanic training sessions. More than 200 people engaged.

14 Community Mechanic training Target: 50 people will benefit from 7 Bike maintenance training sessions. Result: 31 Bicycle mechanic sessions for 76 people who took 3 sessions on average, including Clackmannanshire youth services outreach team, Doune beaver scouts, a parent and child group form Carronshore Youth Club, and various groups from the local area in partnership with the Stirling Cycle Hub.

15 I've been to your bike maintenance nights and found them very good and really helpful. People would find it cheaper to own a bike if they could maintain it them selfs and it's all part of the fun I love tinkering with my bike but as my knowledge is very limited I can not tackle the more challenging things.

16 Community City & Guilds Target: 18 volunteers or staff from other cycling charities and voluntary organisations. Result: 4 newly qualified bike mechanics from 4 different bike projects Sour Riders, Lambhill Stables, Belles on Bikes and Stirling Cycle Hub. A fifth participant dropped out half way through and five couldn t come due to organisational issues concerning terminal illness of the project organiser. We still intend to find a way to help our partner project following Mark s recent passing.

18 The totals on the previous slide are based on numbers engaged and the methodology and conversion rates in our funding application. In addition, we contracted Changeworks to undertake a project evaluation for us, which consisted of a combination of survey analysis and two focus groups. The full Changeworks report has been supplied as an appendix to this report. Their key findings and summary and conclusions are shown on the next page. They re quite exciting!! We may well have saved even more carbon than we thought.

20 In summary, we ve had a blast and so have the people we have worked with everyone from cradle to grave, come rain or shine. We have faced challenges from poor weather to moving the whole organisation to a new premises in the midst of the project but we have achieved lots. We ve worked with thousands of children, hundreds of adults and saved over 300 tonnes of CO 2 (lifetime) and we ve enjoyed every minute. We can only do what we do because of our fantastic partners from the local authorities to our fellow cycle projects and, of course, the wonderful communities we work with.
