3 1. General, open/close etc, all glove options. 1.1 O rings When assembling the Bayonet ring system for the first time, lubricate the groove and the o- ring with Molykote grease ( ). A small paintbrush may be used to spread the grease evenly. Apply a thin layer. This lubrication may have to be repeated after cleaning. Put each o ring into place into the groove in each ring. O ring for the glove ring, (set of 10 pcs). O ring for the sleeve ring, (set of 10 pcs). 1.2 Open/closed positions Closed position: Green marks opposite white marks. To open the system and detach the glove assembly push the two rings together and twist counter clockwise until the white marks meet. Open and detach/attach position: White marks opposite white marks. To attach the glove ring match the white marks, push the two rings together and twist clockwise until the white marks meet the green marks. 4 1.3 Locking the system After attaching the gloves the system can be locked with the red locking pin. The red locking pin makes it easy to check that the gloves are correctly attached and locked in place. Insert the locking pin into the slot in the sleeve ring. See below. To unlock and remove the locking pin, insert a screwdriver or a similar tool under the middle of the pin and bend slightly to make it pop up. Remove it by lifting it up. See image. Locking pin and sleeve ring Removal of locking pin 1.4 Rubber band (optional) As an option a rubber band ( ) may be placed on top of the glove ring system to make decontamination easier and protect the rings and lower sleeve edge from wear and scratches. Rubber cuff (optional) Parts required (per suit): Cuff, complete assembly on ring, , 1 set = 2 pcs 2.1 Push the cuff ring assembly into the sleeve ring from inside the suit. 2.2 Make sure the cuff is aligned straight. Push it firmly into place. Make sure no suit material gets caught between the cuff and the sleeve ring. Subject to change without notice. 5(10)

6 2.3 The rubber cuff may be cut to an appropriate width that is not too tight around the wrist of the user. 2.4 The rubber cuffs can be removed by pushing them into the sleeve of the suit. Subject to change without notice. 6(10)

Rubber glove Parts required (per suit) Glove ring (plus o ring), 2 pcs Inner ring, black, , 2 pcs Viton/butyl rubber gloves , 1 pair Trellchem Super Nitrile/chloroprene rubber gloves , 1 pair Trellchem Light and Splash 3.1 Push the black inner ring into the glove. Position it approximately 5 cm (2 inches) into the glove. 3.2 Push the glove through the glove ring and align the thumb of the glove with the green mark on the glove ring. Push it firmly into place using your thumbs. See 1.1 for instructions on attaching the glove/glove ring assembly onto the suit. 3.3 Detach the glove by going through these steps backwards. 8 4. 4H inner glove plus outer rubber glove Parts required (per suit): Glove ring (plus o ring), 2 pcs Glove option 1: 4H glove with grey inner ring , 2 pcs HPS/VPS Chloroprene rubber glove, 1 pair Glove option 2: 4H glove with black inner ring , 2 pcs Viton/Butyl rubber gloves , 1 pair 4.1 Only 4H inner gloves that are delivered on a ring can be used. Remove the white protective film on each finger of the glove. This will uncover a sticky area that will hold the inner glove in place and keep it inside the outer glove when retracting your hand. 4.2 Push the inner glove into the outer rubber glove. Make sure all fingers of the inner glove come into position all the way inside the fingers of the outer glove. Subject to change without notice. 8(10)

9 4.3 Press the fingers of the outer and inner gloves together so that they stick together. 4.4 Push the ring of the inner glove approximately 5 cm (2 inches) into the rubber glove. 4.5 Put one hand inside the gloves and curl a fist. At the same time put a finger of the other hand between the ring and the outer glove to release air that is trapped between the gloves. Subject to change without notice. 9(10)

10 4.6 Push the glove through the glove ring and align the thumb of the glove with the green mark on the glove ring. Push it firmly into place using your thumbs. See 1.1 for instructions on attaching the glove/glove ring assembly onto the suit. 4.7 The gloves can be detached by going through the applicable steps above backwards. The inner glove will stick to the outer glove but this can be overcome by using a little force.
