Join the NBMCA for what the Ontario Marathon Canoeing Association refers to as "the jewel in OMCRA's racing schedule. Your sponsorship of this 34 year old event will support the NBMCA's environmental education program, which gave more than 9,600 students hands-on experience in respecting our natural world. Print, radio and television media are drawn to this one-day race which attracts more than 60 paddlers, their friends, families and supporters. Competitive, recreational and voyageur canoe categories ensure that all types of canoeing enthusiasts can participate in the race. In addition, participants in the family and youth categories begin at Samuel de Champlain Provincial Park and paddle only the last 13 km of the 64 km race. The race is listed in the Great Ontario Outdoor Adventures Calendar! (The Calendar has a print run of 100,000 and is distributed through the Great Ontario Outdoor Adventure Show in Toronto and through Canadian Geographic Magazine and Conservation Ontario.)
