4 On behalf of the Board of Directors of Softball NSW, it is my pleasure to extend to you a warm welcome to the 2016 Under 19 Female State Championship to be held at the home of Softball NSW at the Blacktown International Sports Park. To all participating players, congratulations on your selection to represent your Association, as competing in a State Championship is a great achievement. I would like to thank all of you for your time and commitment to your team and the association that you will represent at the Championship. To all officials a special thanks. It is your contribution of knowledge, time and dedication to our sport and to your Under 19 team s in particular, which will ensure all teams will compete at this Championship at the high standard we have come to expect. Good luck to all the players seeking selection in the Softball NSW Under 19 Women s Team to play in the National Championship in January Thank you to all our umpires for giving up your time for this event, good luck to any candidates seeking higher accreditation. Also thanks to all the supporters here this weekend for your continued commitment to our sport, you help to enhance the atmosphere and make these events great. My thanks are also extended to the staff of Softball NSW and to all volunteers for the fabulous work they do, together you make a formidable team. To all the participating teams I wish you good luck. 10 1. All players and officials must be attired in their correct Association uniform (including headgear, if worn) and are to remain in uniform whilst participating in a game. 2. These uniforms must be worn in the manner appropriate to their construction and design. 3. Officials must wear closed in shoes. 4. All players and official are to remain in the playing area during a game in which they are participating unless permission to leave is granted by the Plate Umpire/UIC. 5. Non team members are not permitted on the bench or in the bench area. 6. Smoking or the consumption of alcohol by ANY member is prohibited whilst participating in a game. 7. The bench area should be neat and tidy (bats/helmets/gloves) and, if possible, bags should be in a neat row behind the bench. 8. Each team shall be responsible for leaving their bench area clean and tidy. 9. The behaviour and attitude of ALL participants should be a display of good sportsmanship at all times. Offensive language or conduct by ANY participant will not be tolerated. 10. Association Managers are responsible for the overall control of their Affiliates members participating in the Championship. 11. They should also ensure their umpires are correctly attired as per the SNSW Inc. regulations. 12. All participants are required to be in attendance at the Presentation Ceremony UNLESS advised otherwise by the Softball NSW Representative. 13. Teams involved in the Presentation of Trophies/Badges at the Presentation Ceremony must be uniformly attired. 14. Teams who are not participating in finals are permitted to be attired in travelling clothes for the Presentation Ceremony. Under 19 Female State Championship June 4 & 5 Page 10
