2 INFORMATION PACK Format The FOBISIA Gymnastics Invitational Championships 2017 will cater to both MAG and WAG gymnasts. WAG NDP : Women s Artistic Gymnastics National Development Program 2015 version 1.0 released November 2014, Levels MAG NDP: Men s Artistic Gymnastics National Program version 2.0 released November 2014, Levels 1-8. MAG and WAG Technical Judges are provided by the Thailand Gymnastics Association. Judges will be assisted by students from Chulalongkorn University. Teams A team must consist of a minimum of three and no more than six gymnasts. The top three scores on each piece of apparatus will count for the team competition. Gymnasts may be entered as individuals if the school/club does not have enough gymnasts to form a team. Schools/clubs are invited to submit both A and B teams at WAG Levels 5-10 and MAG Levels 3-8 only. All other levels will be split by Junior and Senior where one team is permitted in each category. Where both A and B teams are submitted, only the highest scoring team from that school/club may take a team award. Registration The FOBISIA Gymnastics Invitational Championships 2017 will be using the Beyond The Scores gymnastics meet programme, schools and clubs are invited to register their gymnasts online using the automated sign up procedure. Once the competition is live in the system you will receive an invitation via where you are required to RSVP. Once you confirm your attendance at the competition you will receive another to submit your team list referred to as a roster. Once you click on the Submit Roster button for the competition you will then be able to select your athletes and submit them. Any gymnasts that have competed in competitions in the past where we have used the Beyond The Scores programme will already be in the system but you will still need to assign them to the competition and correct level. Any new gymnasts must be entered into the system with their correct date of birth. If the date of birth is incorrect they may not be allowed to compete in their selected age group. Please note that the Men s and Women s sessions will be listed as two separate competitions so you will receive invitations for both.

Please note that time slots are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis with priority given to WAG Levels 5-10 gymnasts and MAG Levels 5-8. Coach orientation and briefing at 7pm at the Centara Grand for team managers and coaches, dinner and snacks will be available for purchase. 4 Start late morning SESSION V WAG NDP Level 6, 7, 8, 9 & 10 (Open age) General information Location Both the MAG and WAG Gymnastics competitions will take place on site at Harrow School, Bangkok in the. results Full competition results will be displayed on the electronic scoreboards in the Gymnastics during competition through the Beyond The Scores programme and will be available on the Beyond The Scores app. Full competition results will be ed to coaches in the week following the competition. Photography Flash photography is NOT allowed during competition, Rembrandt Official will be taking photos which will be available to view and purchase after the competition in the lobby. Flash photography will be allowed during awards ceremonies only. Food and refreshments Food, drinks and snacks will be available to purchase in the lobby on the day of competition, there will also be water stations to fill water bottles. Food will not be provided for athletes but will be available to buy Lunch and snacks will be provided for all judges, coaches and officials free of charge throughout the weekend. T-shirt A commemorative t-shirt will be given to all participating gymnasts, coaches are required to submit sizes and numbers to Jean Marie Hussey at jhussey@britishschoolmanila.org by Friday 9th December. Participation medal A commemorative medal will be given to all participating gymnasts. Transport Harrow School is pleased to offer transport for visiting teams and coaches to and from the airport if staying at the Centara Grand, and from the Centara Grand to and from Harrow. If your school chooses to stay at a different hotel an extra charge will be added for transport. Please communicate this clearly when confirming numbers. Parents/ Spectators We welcome parents and spectators to the event. Transport will not be provided for parents/ spectators. There are numerous bus companies available for arranged hire in Bangkok and taxis can easily be booked to/ from the hotel.

5 Bus Companies Contacts Details to be listed here Coach information Two coaches per team per apparatus are permitted on the competition floor. Gymnasts must be accompanied by a qualified coach at all times on the competition floor. Floor music must be clearly labelled and submitted to the head score table before the start of each session. This can be on CD, ipod or USB stick. Coaches must wear identical attire whilst on the competition floor. There will be no additional bonuses for this competition, all routines and bonus elements will be judged strictly as per the rules in the programme manual. Gymnast information Attire All competing gymnasts are required to wear their club leotard and competition attire. Long hair should be tied back and jewellery removed. Teams should wear matching leotards and/or tracksuits at all times on the competition floor, this includes warm up and march-on. Gymnast march on Gymnasts must assemble 10 minutes before the competition start time for march-on and presentation. warm up There will be a 1 hour warm up at the start of every session. Once competition has started we will follow the American-style warm-up format which allows gymnasts a one-touch 30 second warm up on each apparatus before competing. Behaviour All gymnasts are asked to behave appropriately and respectfully at all times during competition and when spectating. Awards Awards will be presented at the end of every competition session with medals for the individual all-around competition and individual apparatus, and trophies with medals for the team competition. WAG NDP Level 2 does not require music. If there are technical problems with the music during a performance of a floor routine then the gymnast must continue as normal and will be given the option to redo her routine. In this instance, the best score will count. Awards Awards will be presented in the WAG competitions in the following categories: Medals for individual all-around competition (1 st, 2 nd, and 3 rd ) and awards for 4 th, 5 th and 6 th places in the form of ribbons Medals for individual apparatus (1 st, 2 nd, and 3 rd ) Team medals and trophy per level and age group (1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd ) Girls Levels 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 Levels by age group are defined as follows: Level 5: Open age (max. 2 teams) Level 6: Open age (max. 2 teams) Level 7: Open age (max. 2 teams) Level 8: Open age (max. 2 teams) Level 9: Open age (max. 2 teams)* Level 10: Open age (max. 2 teams)* *We require at least 4 athletes to register to host these levels. 7 Levels 7, 8, 9, and 10 D score = Total value of 6 skills (Level 7) or 7 skills (Level 8) or 8 skills (Level 9 and 10) as set out in the programme + composition requirements (5 each as set out in the manual) E score = Total E deductions Final score = D score + E score neutral deductions Technical For Levels 5, 6, 7 and 8 there will be NO additional bonus skills, the competition will be judged exactly as set out in the programme manual with the exception of Level 5 and 6. At Levels 5 and 6 on floor gymnasts are permitted to work with optional music and choreography but with compulsory skills as set out in the manual (60-90 secs), on beam gymnasts are required to perform compulsory skills but are allowed optional choreography (max. 90 secs). Levels 9 and 10 will allow bonus skills as set out in the programme. Music Music is compulsory per team for WAG NDP Levels 5 and 6. Levels 7-10 may have individual music for each athlete. Schools/clubs must label CDs clearly with name of school/club, name of gymnast and where possible gymnast number. Floor music must not contain lyrics and must not exceed 90 seconds. Awards Awards will be presented in the WAG competitions in the following categories: Medals for individual all-around competition (1 st, 2 nd, and 3 rd ) and awards for 4 th, 5 th and 6 th places in the form of ribbons.
