4 CLASS NOTES Pointe (Monday 4:00-5:00) From the beginning of the year to the end, this class has almost doubled in size, a true testament to the dedication of the dancers. With six performing in this year's ballet, they are all mastering turns, sustained releve, and just the movement en pointe in general. Hallelujah, I am truly blessed by these girls! Senior Line (Monday 8:00 9:00 / Thursday 7:00-8:00) Once again the Senior Line has not ceased to amaze us. Through hard work and dedication they have pushed themselves to be at the top! They have inspired us with their passion and unwavering focus, and have brought our visions to life with true emotion and flawless technique. We, along with everyone at the Palace, will "Just Stand Up" with applause when they perform! Senior Company (Monday 6:00-7:00/Tuesday 8:00-9:00) Wow, what an exciting year we've had. Through injuries and college acceptance letters, these girls have been through a lot of ups and downs...but it couldn't have been a more fun-filled year! We are so proud of the progress of these nine young ladies, dancing with energy and pushing their abilities to new heights. It will definitely show at this year's recital...you'll be "Beggin'" to see more. And "When They Grow Up" they will certainly wow you! We're going to miss our two seniors, Kathleen and Carli, but we know you are both moving on to very exciting things in your lives! Congratulations girls on another wonderful year of dance. Demi Plie (Wednesday 3:15-4:00 All in their first year of dance, I am sure you will agree that they are 5 "Happy Sparkling Ballerinas". They have worked very hard this year and cannot wait to perform in their first dance recital at the beautiful Palace Theatre. Jazz/Tap 2B (Friday 4:00-5:00) Wow!! Where did the year go? Well girls..."are You Ready". Although we were off to a rough start with attendance each week, these girls pulled it together and are ready to hit the stage. We have been fine tuning our dances the last couple of weeks and I am sure you are going to "Like It"!! Chorus Company 1 (Friday 7:00-8:00) What a year we have had so far! These 9 young ladies have really come a long way since September. This year we have been trying out new funky styles of jazz and tap and they look great! Each week I see their amount of energy and passion for dance shine through as we practice, practice and practice some more for the upcoming recital. These girls have FUN when they dance, and you will definitely see it as they shine on stage. As we begin to wrap up the dance year, we have been perfecting our choreography and getting ready to "shake" up some fun on stage. Keep it up girls!
5 CLASS NOTES (continued) Ballet2/Ballet 3 (Saturday 1:00-300) The thirteen lovely dancers in Ballet 2 have been working all year on mastering their contemporary ballet technique. The majority of the class is new to the ballet and have blended in nicely. The other 11 dancers in Ballet 3 have been working on bringing their technique to the next level. With more complex movement and better control, these veterans are truly leading the way. My heart and yours will say "Hallelujah" when all 23 girls take the stage with grace and effortless beauty. GOOD LUCK TO ALL OUR DANCERS PERFORMING IN CENTER STAGE DANCE RECITAL 2011 See you at The Palace Theatre Break a leg!!! Center Stage Summer Classes! We will once again be offering dance classes for our Intermediate through Advanced dancers. Be on the "look-out" for further information! And new for the Summer of 2011!
