2 Registration Package 2018 SEA TO SKY Registration package Thank you for your interest in the 12th Annual Sea to Sky Cheer & Dance Championship, running April 6 th -8 th The International Cheer Alliance continues to promote and plan this event throughout Canada and the United States. Twelve years ago, it was our vision to have teams from all over Canada and America come to beautiful Vancouver for an extraordinary championship experience. This is our Registration Package. Please check and ensure that everything is filled out accurately. The sooner you are able to return your registration package and deposit, the sooner we can process your file and put together a firm schedule to help all of you with planning your weekend and communicating information to your athletes and families. Once you are registered, we will send you further information regarding detailed aspects of the championship. This includes, but is not limited to, the schedule, events, updates, divisions and teams attending. HOTEL BOOKINGS The International Cheer Alliance is proud to partner with CSTT Sports Management International to provide you with professional hotel services. They will take care of all your hotel arrangements and allow easy access to a web based reservation service to make it easy for your families to book at the same hotels as you. Your team or program will be given your own user name and password for you to pass along to your team and parents to make booking and travel hassle free. ALL STAR SCORESHEETS International Cheer Alliance is sanctioned by and affiliated with the USASF. Many of the teams that compete at the Sea to Sky Championship travel throughout North America and have routines made and choreographed to suit the competitions they are attending. Therefore, Sea to Sky uses the Varsity Standard of Scoring for the All Star portion of the event so that your teams may attend multiple events without adapting your routines to fit a certain score sheet. Because the majority of our judges are brought in from the USA and will have been using these score sheets all season long, they will have been trained with them and will be comfortable using them, providing another year of accurate judging. This Code of Conduct is to be followed by all coaches, competitors, family and friends, or anyone else associated with below stated program. As the coach of the RULES/REGULATIONS/SPORTSMANSHIP 1. I have read, understand and will abide by all Event rules and regulations. Cheerleaders/dancers, I agree to the following guidelines. 2. I understand that competitive cheerleading or dance is an activity that presents the possibility of injury. As a coach who understands this risk, my athletes have received proper training. 3. I understand all risks and will always place more emphasis on the safety of my athletes than on competitiveness. 4. I will follow all rules and regulations. I understand that any violation of these rules and regulations could result in a penalty, point deduction, or disqualification. 5. I will abide by the age and/or grade requirements (USASF/NFHS Guidelines) for all divisions that my teams are competing in. I understand that I will be required to provide proper age and/or grade verification at time of check in at an event. Falsifying age and/or grade requirements will result in disqualification from competition. 6. I will accept all judges decisions as final and not question the integrity of said judges. If there is a valid protest, the head coach may file a complaint. If, for valid purpose, I register a complaint, I understand that this complaint will be addressed after the competition. 7. I understand that any action taken by a parent, family member, friend or competitor in approaching an ICA Staff member or judge will result in a penalty point deduction as well as forfeiting the coach s right to protest or review tape. 8. At all times, I will support results of the competition as I am a role model for my program. 9. I will promote fairness and demonstrate appropriate sportsmanship throughout the competition, as well as require all persons affiliated with my program to conduct themselves with the same appropriate sportsmanship. 10. I understand that the ICA reserves the right to remove any persons from the competition for unsafe or unsportsmanlike actions. Additionally, the ICA shall not be liable for failure or other delay in performance of it s obligations under any agreement to the extent such failure or delay is due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including, without limitation, acts of God, acts of public enemy, fires, floods, war, civil disturbance, participation, sabotage, lock-outs, labour disputes, acts of any governmental or quasi governmental authority etc. Gym Owner's / Head Coach s Signature Date
