The festival-contest will be held at the historical place where the ancient city of Fazisi was located and where according to the ancient Greek mythology Jason arrived on his Argo to bring back ancient knowledge in medicine, gold mining secrets and the Golden Fleece to Greece. Your current host is Poti, a port city that will soon celebrate the 155 th port foundation anniversary. The festival-contest will also be held in Grigoleti, a fine sea resort, and Ureki, a sea resort with curative beaches. We ll be happy to host not only the contestants but their fans, too. Welcome to the Tetri Tolia Festival-Contest! Goal of the festival The core goal and objective of the festival is to promote the development of art among children and adolescents, get to know creative teams, deepen creative contacts between teams and share experience. As part of the festival, the following events will be held: Contest Master class Festival performance Gala performance and award ceremony. The best numbers of the Tetri Tolia Festival-Contest will be identified. In addition to the prize-winning places, the jury will identify winners in various nominations. ART CENTER HARMONY 5, M. 2 Terms for participants: The creative teams of children, adolescents and young people as well as individual performers between the ages of 4 and 25 will take part in the festival-contest in various genres of art: Singing Choreography Instrumental genre Original genre Theatrical art Cinematographic art Photo art Fine arts Singing As part of the festival, there will be a singing contest in the adolescent category: solo, duet, trio, academic, on-stage performance, jazz, folklore, group, company. Two songs must be performed: one national, one foreign popular. The duration of a song 3-5 minutes. A solo performer, duet, trio, group, company, band must be prepared to sing a cappella, an additional production upon request of the jury. 2. Group From 4 through 8 years (unison) From 9 through 11 years (in 2 voices) From 12 through 14 years (in 2-3 voices) From 15 through 18 years (3-4 voices) From 19 through 25 years (3-4 voices) 3. Company From 4 through 10 years (in 2 voices) From 11 through 14 years (in 2-3 voices) From 15 through 25 years (in 3-4 voices) Tone purity and quality, tone beauty, voice strength (for sole soloist), polyphony (group, company), complexity, dynamic and emotion of a performance, consideration of the performer s capabilities and category as per repertoire (performance in the age category from 4 to 11 years must be relevant to the children s age) artisticality, creativeness, stage culture. 2 / 6

3 In case of a tie, the jury reserve the right to ask the contestants to do an additional (third) number without musical accompaniment a cappella (solo, duet, trio, group, company). Choreography Classic, ball, on-stage, folk dances, modern, hip-hop, sport dance, jazz. A contestant or group will perform two contest dances. Duration from 3 to 7,5 minutes. 2. Group (maximum 12 dancers) From 15 to 25 years 3. Group (13 or more dancers) Evaluation criteria Performer s (performers ) professionalism, mastery, move techniques, composition, on-stage culture, plastic, costume, requisite, performance culture, musicality and choreography, artisticality and creativeness. Orchestra From 4 through 8 years From 9 through 11 years From 12 through 14 years From 15 through 18 years Mastery over the instrument, clarity of the instrument sonority and musical setting, repertoire complexity, technical capabilities of repertoire and arrangement, company/group performance quality and complexity, dynamic, musicality, artisticality, originality of a piece of music and manner of performance, individuality. Original genre Plastic etude, pantomime, acrobatics, equilibrium, aerobatics, gymnastics, circus art. A solo performer or group performs two contest compositions, The duration of a number for a solo performer 2,5 minutes, for a group 4,5 minutes. Organizational and technical requirements: Contestants must present a quality phonogram on CD bearing the name of the number to be performed on CD to contain one piece of music. Theatrical art Plays and musicals. Duration minutes. : 4 / 6

5 Junior Senior Evaluation categories: Mastery of playing, artistically, on-stage culture, plasticity, costume, performance culture and manner, originality. Cinematographic art Documentary or short films shot by contestants must be presented. Duration minutes. : Junior Senior Originality, individualism, script and direction, cameraman s manner and skill. Photo art Photos taken by contestants must be presented. Photographer s vision, originality, individualism, meaning, photographer skill. Fine arts Pieces made by contestants must be presented. Distribution of composition, proportions, character, integrity of construction and live perception, individuality, originality, meaning, artist s mastery, creative vision. Location of exhibition to be chosen by the organizers. As part of the festival-contest, a creative evening will be held where the contestants can present their own literary works as well as those of other poets (poetry, etude) and perform their own works and those of other composers. The festival-contest will be culminated with a 20-year anniversary evening of the Variety Studio Tetri Tolia where the Tetri Tolia representatives of different generations, distinguished festival participants, directors of groups and teams and honorary guests will be envited. 5 / 6
