At LEAF Festival, LEAF Schools & Streets Resident and Visiting Teaching Artists (RTA/VTA) perform with students on each stage showcasing their music and art. VTAs spend time in local schools the week prior to LEAF Festival. Annually Serving: 10 countries youth participants 17 teaching artists Launched in 2006 LEAF International has served 1,050+ global youth connecting them to their traditions, artists, instruments, and costumes. At LEAF Festival, a LEAF International program journeys to Asheville to conduct a cultural exchangeprogram in the local community; performances and connection opportunites take place on Festival grounds.
