Hitting the Books Dear Scrappers: School bells are ringing again already! Where has the summer gone?

As you can see most of the kits this month are responding to your requests. This month (after 26 months!) we complete the A-Z Disney series.

Each month I will continue to offer a Disney kit as I complete all the requests I received before the Mickey crop in June. Our landmark series and travel series continue (lots of requests).

We are entering the second half of the year, which is filled with holidays, so there will be plenty of special reasons to scrap.

2 Hitting the Books Dear Scrappers: School bells are ringing again already! Where has the summer gone? To keep those memories from fading, I ve designed 19 new kits so you can preserve them forever. You ll find a little * by the kits that have been created as a result of a scrapper s request. As you can see most of the kits this month are responding to your requests. This month (after 26 months!) we complete the A-Z Disney series. Front and back pages will be offered next month that can be used for the album or any Disney album. Each month I will continue to offer a Disney kit as I complete all the requests I received before the Mickey crop in June. Our landmark series and travel series continue (lots of requests). And our new series Scrapbooking and Sports have gotten off to a good start. We are entering the second half of the year, which is filled with holidays, so there will be plenty of special reasons to scrap. Be sure to read the notice on the last page of the newsletter regarding October! Record your photos here. $14 * Fun Facts about Memphis The city is known for food that is barbecued or deep fried and sometimes things are barbecued and then deep fried. Sweet tea will wash anything down smooth, though. Martin Luther King was shot in Memphis, and there s a great museum that preserves the hotel where this audacious act happened. Beale Street is the place to be at night in Memphis, especially on the weekends. There were so many people out on the street, which is closed to cars and open to alcohol sales. Everyone is scanned with metal detectors before you enter the street. Memphis has one of the nicest Triple A baseball stadiums in the country. It s beautiful. At the Peabody Hotel in downtown Memphis, there is a parade of ducks into the central fountain of the hotel every day. If you go to Graceland, you will see that they ve saved everything that Elvis ever came in contact with. I mean anything, including bubble gum wrappers.

I am also continuing with at least one sports layout every month for awhile. This month I designed bowling and go-karting. Next month I ll be offering a fun soccer kit. Watch out!

HOWEVER, I am upgrading the free kit from a simple $10 kit to a paper piecing kit ($18 value). Free kits are free and cannot be cashed in at a later date. If you want to substitute your kit for something else, you must contact me at the time you place your order. If I run out of the free kit, I will substitute a different kit of equal value. Requested kits so that you know what kits have been created in response to someone s request, I will place a * by the kits in the newsletter designating that the request has been fulfilled.
