2 Dear Candidate: Thank you for your interest in the Birdville High School NXT LVL Hip Hop Crew. NXT LVL is both a spirit organization and a competitive team that specializes in stylized hip-hop movement. Crew members are expected to be dedicated dancers, as well as strong role models in and out of school. NXT LVL is a full year commitment. This audition is for placement on the team for the entire school year. Please be sure to read this packet fully as there is pertinent information regarding the audition process as well as commitments for those who are selected for the team. 3 Audition Timeline March, 2018 by 2:00 pm Application due to the Dance Office March th All Teacher Recommendation forms passed out to teachers April 17 th & 18 th Audition Clinic 3:00 4:00 pm in the dance studio April 1 th Auditions 3:30 pm in the main gym Results will be posted online the evening of the 1 th

4 Commitment All members who are selected must be able to be enrolled in the 6 th period dance class for NXT LVL. Crew members will have fees ranging from $300 to $400 that must be paid off by September 30, These fees cover clothing items like t-shirts and warm ups as well as contest fees, choreography fees, and more. An exact dollar amount will be determined upon filling out clothing order forms in May. Crew members must be available for summer practices the week prior to school starting (August 13 th 17 th ). Specific times will be determined closer to the start of school. Crew members must attend: o All school pep rallies o All BHS or BISD dance shows o One competition in February, 201 Hip Hop crew members must maintain passing grades to participate according to the UIL no pass no play policy. Three grade suspension in one year will result in dismissal. Hip Hop crew members must abide by the BISD Extracurricular Honor Code.
