Therefore, every team must adhere to the rules set by the MSSAA, Inc. ( and National Federation Spirit Guideline. Please review all the rules so you may refrain from any penalties. PRE PENALTY / WARM-UPS: Each team will be scheduled for pre-penalty before the start of the tournament. We hire two penalty judges during the pre-penalty time two sets of mats (however it will only be 6 panels and not 7 during pre-penalty) will be set up in the warm up area. This will allow the tournament to begin a lot sooner and all the cheerleaders and coaches won t have to sit around so long before the start of the event. Have a practice plan in place before your warm up time.
2 Each team will have an opportunity to stretch and warm up a second time; this is just before your team takes the mat for competition. Each team will be issued six minutes to stretch on two strips of cheer mats and three minutes to warm up on a full size mat (42 X 42 ) before they perform in front of the judges. Registration will start at 2:00p.m. if you need to plan for a bus. Registration will begin with the closest school to Shepherd Hill to the farthest school away from Shepherd Hill. The last warm up time will be at 5:00p.m. It would be helpful if coaches could please me any conflicts with registration time being schedule for your team before 4:00p.m. Please pre-register with me, Loretta, to hold your spot for our invitational at landre@dcrsd.org. Many times I have had teams registration forms delayed getting to me; by pre-registering I can make sure you re added into the Pre-Penalty Time and Order of Appearance, as well as, ing you important information!! MUSIC: It is important that you bring two CD s with you that have your music downloaded on them. Our DJ (Justin) can also play your music from an I-Pod or I-Pad or MP3 player. Each team must designate a person to play your music. Our DJ is not allowed to play any ones music. TRAINER: Our long time trainer Jay will once again be on duty! Each team must supply their own medical wrap and under wrap. Jay is trained to wrap athletes. If coaches feel better to have the trainer wrap your cheerleaders, Jay will be more than happy too.
