1 INVITATIONAL Under the Lights Sunday, October 21, 2018 Dracut High School Gymnasium 1540 Lakeview Ave. Dracut, MA The Dracut High School Cheerleaders would like to invite you to their Fall Cheerleading tournament. The tournament will take place on Sunday, October 21, Exact start times for the session will be ed prior to the event. This year s Invitational will take place Under the Lights and will begin at 5PM. The tournament is open to Varsity, Junior Varsity, Freshman, Junior High, Coed, Youth/Rec, Game Day and High School Dance teams. We are also accepting out of state teams and organizations. To register you must fill out the registration form and send a check in the amount of $ by October 18th, made out to Dracut All Sports Boosters. Checks should be mailed to Kelly Broadbent, 22 Carle Drive Dracut, MA We will be awarding first place trophies for division champions, and a large trophy and a banner for overall Grand Champions of the entire competition. This tournament has been sanctioned by the M.S.S.A.A. and will follow the 2018 National Federation rules and regulations. (For more information on these guidelines go to All competing schools and divisions will be based on state lists of school divisions. Each team is required to perform a routine that does not exceed 2:30 in length. Unless rule parameters are different in the category you ve registered to compete in or are following a different state s guidelines. Timing will begin with the first motion, word from the team, or note of music and timing will end with the last motion, word, or musical note. A penalty will be given to any team who exceeds their registered division time limit. There will be a 5 minute warm up session, on a full 7 mats which will be seen by a penalty judge that has been certified by the M.S.S.A.A. M.S.S.A.A Certified judge will judge the competition. They will also use the state approved score sheet. There will be a second warmup before the performance in our Auxiliary Gym. There will be 2 stations with 5 minutes on each station. There will not be a full 7 mats during the second warm up. We will be having Top Gun tumbling and jumping contests. Each team may send a maximum of two members per category of each contest. You do not need to pre-register and there is no cost. The winner of each category will receive a trophy.
2 Attached please find a Registration Form. The Registration fee for each team is $125 (nonrefundable). Both the registration form and fee must be received together, in order for your team to be added to the participating teams list. PURCHASE ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED BUT, MUST BE RECEIVED AT OR PRIOR TO THE EVENT. Cash or check will be accepted the day of the event however, registration must be received prior to the event. Please complete the registration form and either mail or (kellyanne920@comcast.net) back to us on or before October 18th. Make Checks payable to: Dracut All Sports Boosters. Registration Fee: $125 per team competing. Once your registration is received, a confirmation will be sent. NOTE: Registration fee includes members on roster (20 competing & up to 4 alternates or noncompeting members) and two (2) coaches. Additional coaches will be $7.00 each and team members over 24 will be $5.00 each. ENTORAGE, TEAM MOMS, PHOTOGRAPHERS AND ANYONE ELSE WHO IS PART OF YOUR PROGRAM MUST PAY. Regarding Competition Routine Parameters, please note the following All routines are limited to a maximum of two minutes and thirty seconds (2:30). There is no limit to the amount of music that may be used. All routines must include a cheer (before/middle/after/over the music) in order to be properly judged in the voice and motions categories. There is not a minimum time/length requirement. Timing will begin with the first organized word, movement, or note of music by the team after it is officially announced that they may begin. Coaches are strongly advised to create routines that finish a few seconds under the time limit to ensure that the team does not go over time. ipod/iphone hook ups will be available by the DJ as source to play your music and each team must provide their own person responsible for the music portion of the routine.
