Storage Unit Find 2009 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 with 720 miles Contributed by Curtis Domsch Don t know if you have heard of the TV show Storage Wars or heard of storage auctions. But usually unclaimed storage units go up for auction and the winner of the auction usually buys the storage unit sight unseen. What would you expect to find from a storage container? Old, undesirable furniture, Atari videogames, useless household goods or the worldly remains of Jimmy Hoffa? Jokes aside, if there's going to be an abandoned car in a storage container, it's more likely to be a real clunker! One lucky person in Duluth, GA bought a gold mine of a storage unit. When the storage unit was inspected it contained a 2009 Corvette Z06 with only 720 miles on it! The buyer inspected the car and found something else intriguing, the car had never been titled and had no traceable history. Essentially nothing is known about the car s background other than an entry or two on a vehicle history report, and photos of it in the storage unit indicate that it had clearly been sitting untouched for a long time. The car has since been dusted off, but it still wears original tires the seller also notes all new fluids, as well as few blemishes here and there The buyer of the storage unit put the car on EBay as a slightly scratched, but otherwise complete and never registered 2009 Z06. In all respects it's treated as an abandoned vehicle, and the Duluth-based seller says the VIN doesn't show it to be a stolen car. There's no paperwork, and obtaining a title will take a while; the seller mainly wants to turn the Z06 into money quickly and has therefore posted it for sale as a no-title car. The ad claims the Corvette is the lowest mileage Z06 in the country. While that is possible, it's almost certain that 20 years from now some mothballed, zero-mile Z06s will start coming out of the woodwork. The auction closed on February 16th with hundreds of bids. The final selling price was $ Was that a good deal? Google search 720 mile 2009 Corvette to see pictures of the car. Page 7
