2 Run: 2383 Date: 12 October 2017 Venue: Youth Park Bunny: Hot Spot VGM s Run Notes With the GM gone it was the VGM s turn to be in control. It started to rain at around 4PM so it was not looking good. Never mind a hasher won t melt in the rain. It might be slippery but that s something you have to deal with. I arrived slightly late since I realized just when I was about to leave the house that I was still wearing my lunch face and I did not want to look like a Pablo Picasso painting after the run. Quickly got rid of the lunch face and put on my hash face. Arriving at the run site it was good to see so many friends again. The circle started at 6PM sharp, the rain had stopped more or less at that time. We welcomed 3 guests: Michael and Adeline from Kuala Lumpur, Bananaman from Penang, or orang pisang as Sami calls him. No announcements so word from the Bunny. Sai Seng in absence of the Bunny said it was a medium to short run. Off most of the hashers went. Molly was kind enough to sort out the running cards which Biking Sheila was looking after, in absence of the GM. Food arrived already so it was stored away till dinner time. After that I did a bit of running in the park. On my return Toddy Tan and Viking were back already, they started early. Apparently they did not do the whole run something to do with paper. Slowly the other hashers came back the views on the run were different. They thought the paper went up, but as Sai Seng pointed out paper can also be on the ground and not only clipped on the trees. Overall the hashers liked the exercise.

3 VGM s Run Notes continued By 7PM most of us were back, except Speedhound and Black German, what happened? We found out later during the circle. While it was still a little light dinner was served while still waiting for the 2 remaining hashers. The food provided by the Bunny was a challenge. That means you had to peel of a few rubber bands in order to get to the food. After you managed the dinner was good. The evening did not last long since it was raining a lot. Most of our members went home early. Hopefully the weather is better next week. See you then. *** Next Week we are at Old Pekaka Runsite for Good Year s run. 8 First we welcomed the guests, Michael and Adeline from Kuala Lumper. Bananaman already left. The guests really enjoyed the run, they thought it was fantastic to have such a great scenery right at your doorstep. Makes you appreciate our hills more when you hear this. They are looking to move to Penang and if they do they for sure come back. Give them a song please choir? Our choir, tonight only 1 member sang our song. The Circle

9 Second we had a contest. The contest tonight was, who is the dumbest hasher of this Thursday? First Michelle was asked to step forward: she was wearing a bracelet that should have been to the repair shop half a year again. So during her walk it snapped and all the beads rolled away. The girls helped her to collect them. The Circle Second to compete was Marks & Spencer, he went to the run without his running shoes, so he had to walk around in his slippers. And on top of that he wanted to sit on the ice straight away. Apparently his ears are only to wear earrings, but not for listening. Third to compete was Speedhound, she was running with her legs and not her brains, somewhere near number 5 she went up and not down where the paper was.

10 The Circle The circle was asked to decide who deserved the title the most. The roar was the loudest for Marks & Spencer so he got the title! Our choir sang him a song and tied him to a shoe rack.

11 The Circle Charge from the floor: Sai Seng asked Black German on ice. Question: how long have you been hashing Black German? About 40 years. Haven t learned a thing or 2 in all these years, especially being a GM for Monday as well? No he did not learn a lot, he was running around in the jungle like a chicken without a head and was calling Sai Seng where he should go. He was somewhere near rock 64, wherever that is. Sai Seng suggested he might want to have spend more time with Speedhound in the jungle, but that was not the case according to Speedhound.

12 The Circle Darren was asked to come forward. Who introduced you to this hash? It was Botak Chin. Botak Chin was put on ice. Why? If you bring a person to the hash you inform him about the rules and regulations. One of those rules is that you should wear a hash shirt which Darren did not do. The choir tied Botak Chin to a t shirt.

13 The Circle Charge from the floor: Michelle put Darren on ice. As it turned out she gave Darren 3 hash t shirts and he choose not to wear them, but gave them to his wife instead, well that is the story I understood. The choir tied Darren to Michelle.

14 The Circle Bunny on ice. No Bunny so we iced a look alike instead. Beauty Queen on ice. We thanked the look alike Bunny for the run and the food. It all went well. Circle closed.

15 Next Run *** Next Week we are at Old Pekaka Runsite for Good Year s run. Please come and support him *** Old Pekaka Runsite: If coming from Green Lane or even Jln Sungai Dua follow Jln Bkt Gambir towards Bkt Jambul turning. Do a U turn at the traffic lights and go back and under the pedestrian overpass. Go past the school and turn into Jln Ketitir. Run commences at 6pm.
