Du Bois Papers at the University of Massachusetts Amherst were consulted for information regarding the Homesite. The Papers are still in the process of being digitized so selected years were manually searched for keywords that were relevant for the Homesite. We were especially interested in Du Bois s correspondence concerning the acquiring, use, and construction efforts at the Homesite. Our search began in 1928 and ran through the last year of Du Bois s ownership of the Homesite, The keywords we searched for varied for different periods of Du Bois s ownership of the Homesite. The keywords, years searched, and manuscripts found for each year are indicated in the following. A year that was searched but had no relevant documents will have no listings under the righthand column. 2
