4 FACILITY INFORMATION The Burrill Family Field at Connecticut Softball Stadium 509 Jim Calhoun Way Storrs, CT The Connecticut Softball Stadium has been in its present location since The facility has been the site of many postseason games including the 1990 NCAA Regionals where UConn and Adelphi recorded a marathon 20-inning game. The field has also been the site of the 1992, 1993, 1997 and 1999 BIG EAST Softball Tournaments. The Huskies have won two BIG EAST Championships when hosting (1992, 1993). The Burrill Family Bob and Barbara Burrill have been active supporters of UConn Athletics for more than 25 years. The Burrills have been long-time season ticket holders for football, men's basketball and women's basketball. The entire family - including Christian (MBA '07), Jessica ('01), Laura ('06) and Jeffrey - are regularly seen at games cheering on their beloved Huskies. Bob and Barbara are both UConn graduates (Class of 1974). Bob was a Managing Director at UBS Realty Investors in Hartford for many years before his most recent endeavor into the real estate business. The Burrill family has generously supported UConn Athletics through various gifts, including the establishment of the Barbara and Bob Burrill Family Athletic Scholarship. 4

5 GAME DAY INFORMATION BALL TYPE & BAT TESTING BALL TYPE Wilson A9010B SST Softball for both conference and non-conference home games. BAT TESTING Bat testing will only occur prior to the first game of a series. There will be no bat testing prior to non-conference games. LOCKER ROOM FACILITIES Locker rooms are located in the Greer Field House or Gampel Pavilion. Please inform Meredith Reid at meredith.reid@uconn.edu if you would like to request a locker room for game day, please include your locker room needs for each day of competition in that request. If a locker rooms is requested, a member of the UConn Operations Staff will notify you of your locker room location prior to your arrival and escort the team to the locker room upon your arrival. Buses and/or vans will be instructed where to park by your host. All meals are to be delivered directly to the bus. MEDIA INFORMATION All media needs are coordinated through Steve Lewis at steve.lewis@uconn.edu or by calling (860) This includes radio and post-game procedures. If necessary, all post-game interviews with players and coaches will take place on the field. 5

CONFERENCE GAMES The home team for each Conference series will wear light colored jerseys (tops) for Friday games, dark tops Saturday and light tops on Sunday. The visiting team is expected to wear contrasting tops on each of these days. 6

11 APPENDIX A Directions to Burrill Field From Bradley International Airport - The University of Connecticut campus is approximately 45 minutes driving time from the airport. Take I-91 South to I-291 East to I-84 East to exit 68. Off the exit take a right on Rte. 195 South and follow signs to the University. Once on campus take a right on North Eagleville Road. At the second stoplight, take a left onto Hillside Road. At the fourth stop sign take a right onto Jim Calhoun Way. Connecticut Softball Stadium will be on your right. From Hartford - The University of Connecticut campus is approximately 30 minutes driving time from the city of Hartford. Take I-84 East to exit 68. Off the exit take a right onto Rte. 195 South and follow signs to the University (approx. 7 miles). Once on campus take a right onto North Eagleville Road. At the second stoplight, take a left onto Hillside Road. At the fourth stop sign take a right onto Jim Calhoun Way. Connecticut Softball Stadium will be on your right. From Boston - The University of Connecticut campus is approximately 1.5 hours from Boston. From the Mass Pike, take I-84 West to exit 68. Off the exit take a left on Rte. 195 South and follow signs to the University. Once on campus take a right onto North Eagleville Road. At the second stoplight, take a left onto Hillside Road. At the fourth stop sign take a right onto Jim Calhoun Way. Connecticut Softball Stadium will be on your right. From Providence - The University of Connecticut is approximately one and one quarter hour from Providence. From Rte. 295 take exit 5-6, following signs to Hartford. Take Rte. 6 West to Rte. 101 West to Rte. 44 west. Take a left onto Rte. 195 South. Once on campus take a right onto North Eagleville Road. At the second stoplight take a left onto Hillside Road. At the fourth stop sign take a right onto Jim Calhoun Way. Connecticut Softball Stadium will be on your right. From New York - The University of Connecticut is approximately one and one-half to two hours from New York. Take 95 North to 91 North to 84 East. From 84 East take exit 68. Once off the exit take a right onto Rte. 195 south and follow signs to the University (approx. 7 miles). Once on campus, take a right onto North Eagleville Road.
