3 VISITING TEAM INFORMATION ATHLETIC TRAINING ROOM The volleyball athletic training room is located in the Carolina Coliseum, down the hall from the Visiting Team Locker Room. Special requests and accommodations should be submitted to Jennifer Herod as early as possible. CONCESSIONS Food and refreshments are available during the match. The concession stand is located in the entrance lobby of the Carolina Volleyball Center. PASS LIST All teams should submit their typed pass list to Amanda Brown Director of Volleyball Operations, upon their arrival prior to the match. PRACTICE REQUESTS All requests for practice should be submitted to the Director of Volleyball Operations. Please submit requests as early in advance as possible. The University of South Carolina will make every effort to accommodate all practice requests within SEC policies. PRE-GAME ACTIVITY / MATCH PROTOCOLS The visiting team will be allocated specific court times for pre-game warm-ups in accordance to SEC policies. Please refer to the official match protocol sheet that will be posted in the locker room. A sample protocol sheet is included in this visitor s guide. Please note that match set-up for camera and technical equipment will begin 4 hours prior to the match. SPECTATOR PARKING All spectators should park in the lot directly in front of Thirsty Fellow restaurant (behind 650 Lincoln Dorms). It is not advised that any parking occur in the lot facing Assembly Street as tickets could be issued. There is also a lot available off Park St. next to the Strom Thurmond Fitness Center as well as the Horizon Garage off Assembly St. All potential parking issues will be addressed on See parking map on page 17. TEAM BENCH & LOCKER-ROOM The visiting team bench will be located on the left side of the scorer s table in the Carolina Volleyball Center (when facing the scorer s table). The visiting locker room is Room 219C located to the left of the South Carolina locker room within Carolina Coliseum. Towels and Water/Gatorade will be provided in the locker room prior to match time. TEAM PARKING Visiting team buses should drop off on Park Street and enter through the main volleyball entrance (up the set of stairs and through glass doors). Buses should plan to park behind the Strom Thurmond Fitness Center or behind the Colonial Life Arena. Specific bus parking details will be ed prior to the match. VIDEO RECORDING LOCATION Video recording will take place on the bleachers directly behind the home side of the court. Accommodations within reason can be made for alternative locations. 3

4 NEW CLEAR BAG POLICY In a move designed to provide a safer environment and more expedited entry for fans, South Carolina Athletics will continue its clear bag policy for all ticketed athletics events in Similar to those implemented by the NFL and many other college and professional stadiums, the new policy will limit the size and type of bags that may be brought into the venues. Fans are permitted one 12 x6 12 clear bag or gallon sized Ziploc bag AND one hand sized clutch (4.5 x 6.5 ). Cameras can be carried in, but may not be inside a case. 4

Stay in far right lane to take John Hardee Expressway. Take left at traffic light onto Highway 312 (also Airport Boulevard). Take right onto Blossom Street. FROM I-26 WEST (CHARLESTON/ORANGEBURG) Take Exit 116 onto I-77 North. Take Exit 5/Bluff Road toward Columbia. Turn left onto Bluff Road. Take a right on George Rogers Boulevard (at Williams-Brice Stadium). Turn left onto Blossom Street. FROM I-20 WEST (FLORENCE/SANDHILL) Take Exit 76A onto I-77 South. Take Exit 10 onto Fort Jackson Boulevard. Bear Left onto Wildcat Road; continue onto Rosewood Drive. Take a left at Assembly Street followed by a left onto Blossom Street. FROM I-26 EAST (HARBISON/SPARTANBURG) Take left Exit 108B/Downtown Columbia onto I-126. Continue onto Elmwood Avenue. Turn right onto Assembly Street followed by a right at Blossom Street.
