If you have any questions please give us a call at If you miss the entrance on Route 85, just continue another ¼ mile to the Stop sign. You are now in the village of Rensselaerville, the Catalpa House Bed and Breakfast is on your right. Turn right at Stop sign, go about 300 feet and turn RIGHT up POND HILL ROAD and go one mile and the entrance will be on your RIGHT. During Winter Months - December 1-April 15 The Route 85 entrance to the Carey Conference Center is seasonal and therefore during the winter guests should use the Pond Hill Road entrance. Continue on Route 85 to the stop sign in the village. Turn RIGHT onto Main Street (Route 85), and turn RIGHT again onto Pond Hill Road. Continue to the top of the hill and turn RIGHT at the entrance to the Carey Conference Center campus. If using GPS, please type in 100 Pond Hill Road, Rensselaerville, NY From the Albany International Airport: Approximately 30 miles When you are leaving the Albany International Airport: 1. Turn left onto Rt. 155 East following signs for Routes I-87 and I Proceed about 1 3/4 miles to the entrance of I-87 South and I-90. Take a right onto Rt. 87 South 3. Go 2.6 miles to Exit 1E for 90 East toward Boston which is the left lane of the exit. (DO NOT take the right exit lane, 1 West, it will put you on the Thruway heading toward Buffalo.) 4. Continue approximately 2.5 miles on 90 East to Exit 4 Rt. 85 West - Slingerlands 5. Stay on Rt. 85 West through 3 rotaries (about 5 miles) 6. At the 4th rotary, take first exit right onto Rt. 85 West. 7. Go 9.3 miles to the intersection of Routes 443 and 85 (There will be a Stewarts Shop in front of you.) 8. Turn right to continue on Rt. 85 West. 9. Stay straight for 11 miles to our sign for the Carey Institute and Conference Center where you will bear right up our road and into our main parking lot below the Guggenheim building. Approximate travel time is 45 minutes

2 From the North 1. Take 87 South to I90 East 2. Continue I90 East to Exit 4 Rt. 85 Slingerlands 3. Stay on Rt 85 West through 3 rotaries (about 5 miles) 4. At the 4th rotary take first exit right onto Rt. 85 West. 5. Go 9.3 miles to the intersection of Routes 443 and 85 (There is a Stewarts Shop in front of you.) 6. Turn right to continue on Rt. 85 West. 7. Stay straight for 11 miles to our sign for the Carey Institute and Conference Center where you will bear right up our road and into our main parking lot. From Downtown Albany: Approximately 30 miles 1. When downtown, find I-90 West. Travel on I-90 West to Exit Take Exit 4, Slingerlands/State Route Follow State Route 85 West continuing straight through 3 rotaries. 4. At the 4th rotary take the first exit onto Route 85 West, through Slingerlands, and the towns of New Scotland and New Salem. 5. At the stop sign at intersection of Routes 85 and 443 (directly across the road is a Stewart s Shop convenience store and gas station) turn right. 6. Follow Route 85 for 11 miles to Rensselaerville, to the Carey Institute and Conference Center, bear right up road and into our main parking lot. If you reach the Rensselaerville Fire House (on your right) you have gone too far. 8. In the winter months when this entrance is closed, proceed about a half-mile to the 9. Proceed West on Route 23 for approximately 8 miles until you come to a traffic light. 4. At the traffic light turn right onto State Route 32 North. 5. Follow Route 32 for about 9 miles to Greenville, go straight through the traffic light at the intersection of State Route Stay on Route 32 for 2 miles past the Greenville traffic light to the blinking light at the intersection of Albany County Route Turn left at this intersection onto Route 405 and travel 4.5 miles until Routes 405 and 402 intersect.

Turn right onto NY 30A and go approximately 2.6 miles (Note Route 30A will merge with and become Route 30) 6. Turn left onto NY Route 443 EAST and follow for approximately 9 miles 7. Turn Right onto NY County Route 1 (Switz Kill Rd) (cemetery on corner) and follow 2 miles 8. Turn Right onto County Route 6/Ravine Road (on sharp corner) and follow County Route 6 for approx. 5.8 miles 9. Turn Right at stop sign onto State Route 85 and go about ½ miles and you will see the entrance to the Carey Institute on your right. From the Albany-Rensselaer Train Station: Approximately 30 Miles 1. When leaving the train station parking lot, turn left onto East Street. 2. At the first traffic light, turn left onto Partition Street. 3. At the next traffic light, turn left onto Broadway Avenue. 4. Go straight on Broadway Avenue and follow the signs to I-787 South. 5. Travel to the end of I-787. Then turn right onto Route 9W. 6. Proceed on 9W, which merges with Route 32. Bear to the right at the fork of 9W and Route 32 and proceed on Route 32 for approximately 3 miles. 7. At third stoplight, Route 32 turns left. DO NOT TURN. CONTINUE STRAIGHT THROUGH. You will pass a Park and Ride lot on your left and may think you have gone wrong the wrong way, but you are fine. Stay on this road until it ends. At the end of the road turn right onto Van Dyke Road and follow it past the school bus garage and the athletic field & track on your right. 8. Van Dyke Road ends at a traffic light. Turn left onto Delaware Avenue also shown as Route 443. You will stay on this road for nearly 10 miles. It merges with Route Proceed on Route 85 for about 15 miles.
