There was rain, wind, and storms, but all in all it warmed up nicely. Despite a couple rough patches it provided a star studded week of Championship golf that according to the APT Tour was unparalleled at most venues. All golf course staff members were amazing all week long and I think they deserve a round of applause for the job they did. I d be remiss if I didn t thank all the volunteers, sponsors, tour staff, and most importantly our members for helping and allowing such a great event to take place. So what s going on in June you ask? Well only the best Member/Guest in Oklahoma of course! The Okie Classic starts Wednesday June 6th and runs through the 9th. The last day to sign up is June 1st, so you better hurry! PGA Junior League has kicked off and started smoothly. It was a little later than last year due to the overwhelming increase in participants over last year. Muskogee Golf Club will be represented by over 24 kids. Catch them in their first match of the year on June 3rd. See you at the club, Tony L Collins, PGA Upcoming Events.8

Members, First of all I would like to thank everybody for cooperating with the cart path only rule over the past month or so. This helped our bermudagrass immensely in the fairways and rough.

7 Members, First of all I would like to thank everybody for cooperating with the cart path only rule over the past month or so. This helped our bermudagrass immensely in the fairways and rough. We already have more bermudagrass than we have had in the past and it is healthier than ever. To continue to make our turf as healthy and dense as possible please use the 90 degree rule as often as possible when you are not cart path restricted. It looks like we have skipped spring and gone straight to summer! My staff and I will be out hand watering greens throughout the day for the rest of the summer so please be mindful of this. We will try to disrupt play as little as possible but there may be times when you have to wait on a staff member to water greens. Please wait until they are finished watering and off the green before you hit into the green. As always thank you for your cooperation and patience, Keith Callery Golf Course Superintendent
