Golf Tip of the Month Teeing Tactics Most golfers don t pay attention to which side of the teeing area they play from. When there is trouble on the right side of a hole, playing from the right side of the teeing area visually opens up the left side of the fairway. It gives the appearance that there is more area to hit the ball into. Conversely, on the same hole with trouble on the right side, when people tee off from the left side of the tee it visually makes the hole seem tighter and brings the trouble more into play. The same applies for when there is trouble on the left. With trouble on the left side of a hole, golfers should tee off on the left side of the teeing area. Congrats, Luke Parsons! Luke Parsons shot 3 under on the final day of the World Championship in Pinehurst to win the coveted World Championship title. 1442 players from 51 countries competed.

The 2015 World Championship title comes on the heels of Luke's Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida State Championship titles.

Luke will return home here at Cobblestone Park Golf Club to continue preparing for the PGA Golf Club tournament set for mid-october in Port St. Lucie, FL.

3 Congrats, Luke Parsons! Luke Parsons shot 3 under on the final day of the World Championship in Pinehurst to win the coveted World Championship title players from 51 countries competed. Luke shot all three rounds under par with He was bogey free on days 1 and 3 and overall had 10 birdies and only 3 bogeys. For the 27 holes he had no three putts. The 2015 World Championship title comes on the heels of Luke's Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida State Championship titles. In addition he was Player of the year for the San Francisco Bay Tour. Luke will return home here at Cobblestone Park Golf Club to continue preparing for the PGA Golf Club tournament set for mid-october in Port St. Lucie, FL. TENNIS All-Sports Camps Recap What a great summer of camps at Cobblestone Park! We had over 100 kids participate this summer in our camps programs. All the kids had a great time. We are proud to introduce Dennis Durkin as the newest addition to our Cobblestone Park family. Dennis will serve as Food and Beverage Manager, replacing Craig Litz, who we thank for his service and hard work over the past year and a half. Dennis comes to us from the Forest Creek Golf Club, in Pinehurst, North Carolina. Forest Creek is a high end, private country club that features three dining rooms, two bars, and a full service restaurant. During his career at Forest Creek, Dennis moved from Executive Chef, to Assistant Food and Beverage Manager, to finally, Food and Beverage Manager. Dennis has extensive experience in both casual and fine dining restaurants, plus, multiple country clubs. We are pleased to have Dennis join the team and feel that his culinary and managerial background will improve the day-to-day service, attention to detail, and overall member and guest experience. We had a blast with the different themed weeks full of fun games, crafts and guest speakers. The camps consisted of Mermaid Gals & Pirate Pals as well as Splish Splash week. We finished up the summer with our Carnival Camp the Wine & Design Wine & Design was back on property for another step by step painting event on Saturday, July 18. We painted an Abstract Azalea Garden and everyone s artwork turned out great. Look for another Wine & Design event coming this winter! Wisteria Salon & Spa was at Cobblestone Park once again for our Martinis & Manicures event on Saturday, August 8. Attendees received Aveda hand treatments, mini manicures, hair consultations, make up touch ups and mini massages. It was a very relaxing evening being pampered and enjoying the lounge-like atmosphere in the ballroom. Thank you to everyone who attended! week before school started. Members and circus performers, Mike & Gina Tanner, entertained the kids with plate spinning, acro-balancing, fire eating and more. The kids even got to learn how to spin plates and perform hula hoop tricks. Sarah Dippity also spent a morning with us putting on a magic show. It was a great summer and we look forward to offering new themed camps next summer!
