1 December 2016 Newsletter Pro's Corner Kevin Rhinehart, PGA Professional (270) / kevinrhinehart@bellsouth.net Greetings to the Membership, I would like to begin by wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year. Please remember to make tee times for weekends. We will continue to make tee times all year round. Golf Shop Hours: Mondays: CLOSED Tuesdays through Fridays: 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM Saturdays & Sundays: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Gift Certificates For that hard to buy for special person, remember Gift Certificates are available in the Golf Shop. Golf Shop Sale All short sleeve summer shirts will remain HALF PRICE while they last. All socks are HALF PRICE. All shoes reduced. All in stock golf bags are priced to move. All NIKE gloves are buy 1, get 1 for $2. We will have weekly specials. Make sure to read the weekly blast Golf Calendar We have prepared the 2017 Golf Schedule. This is a tentative schedule. It is our goal to have it approved by the Board of Directors at the next Board meeting.

Golf Simulator THURSDAY, DECEMBER 1st - Men's Closest to the Pin Tournament. The simulator will be set up in the ballroom for our first indoor tournament.

We are also currently preparing for a par three challenge, long drive competition, and golf tournament for ladies, men, senior men and juniors. We will be announcing those dates soon.

2 Golf Simulator THURSDAY, DECEMBER 1st - Men's Closest to the Pin Tournament. The simulator will be set up in the ballroom for our first indoor tournament. Qualify between 11:00 AM and 6:30 PM all day Thursday. $10 for three shots (plus two warmup shots). The Top Eight will advance to the playoffs at 7:00 PM to determine the overall winner. We are also currently preparing for a par three challenge, long drive competition, and golf tournament for ladies, men, senior men and juniors. We will be announcing those dates soon. Golf Lessons Golf lessons will be available all winter indoors off site. Please contact Kevin or the Golf Shop for scheduling and directions. CHRISTMAS SPECIAL -- buy 4 and get one free. Golf lessons will include the simulator. You will be able to see the flight of the ball in the comfort of an indoor setting. As always, it is a privilege to serve the Membership of Rolling Hills Country Club has been a great golf season, and we eagerly anticipate the 2017 golf season. If we can be of any assistance, please don t hesitate to contact us. Hours of operation are reduced at this time of year. If you need assistance or anything from the Golf Shop, please , text or call Kevin at kevinrhinehart@bellsouth.net or (270) Happy Holidays, Kevin Rhinehart News from the Course I would like to take a moment to thank the RHCC Board, RHCC Staff, and all of the wonderful members of RHCC for the warm welcome I received to the RHCC Family. Over the next few months, our staff will be working together to not only plan and prepare for the upcoming 2017 golf season, but to improve course conditions while keeping the course conditioned for winter play. I am sure many of you have seen the staff working hard on leaf removal, tree pruning, and aerification. I would like to take a moment to remind all of the golfers to be diligent when driving golf carts on the course. Please avoid thinned out areas and areas that are wet so we do not cause any further damage. 3 You better watch out; you better not pout -- Santa Claus is coming to town this SATURDAY, December 3rd, and he's making a stop at Rolling Hills Country Club for breakfast. Starting at 9:00 AM, enjoy a delicious breakfast served in the ballroom for all RHCC kids and grandkids -- parents and grandparents are invited too. Kids, bring your Christmas letters and wish lists to share with Santa. Have your picture made in an authentic sleigh with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Digital pictures will be ed. Sign-up sheet is posted on the Bulletin Board, or call the Clubhouse to sign up. Please include # of people attending when signing up. Tables will be reserved as you sign up, so sign up early to get a good seat!! RHCC members without children attending but who would like to join in for breakfast may also sign up for $5. Deadline to sign up is Thursday, December 1st. HO! HO! HO! BACK THIS YEAR: Family Christmas Pictures RHCC Photographer Nancy Sutton will be taking pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus with our authentic sleigh after the breakfast for any RHCC families wishing to make a Christmas photo here at the Club. You may do so on Saturday, December 3rd, starting at 10:30 AM. Round up your family members, put on your best Christmas outfit and come to the Club for your Christmas photo. Board of Directors' Meeting The December meeting of the RHCC Board of Directors will be held on Monday, December 12th, at 6:00 PM at the Rolling Hills Clubhouse. All members are invited to attend.

!!! Ladies' League Golf Association Christmas Dinner The annual Ladies' League Golf Association Christmas Dinner is Tuesday, December 6th, at the RHCC Clubhouse.

4 UCLA - Saturday December 3rd Everyone is invited Saturday, December 3rd, as the #14 UCLA Bruins play in Lexington for the first time since February The #1 Kentucky Wildcats hope to avenge their loss to the Bruins last December at Pauley Pavilion. Game time at 11:30 AM. Let's go CATS!!!! Ladies' League Golf Association Christmas Dinner The annual Ladies' League Golf Association Christmas Dinner is Tuesday, December 6th, at the RHCC Clubhouse. Social begins at 6 PM followed by dinner at 6:30 PM. There are two sign-up sheets in the bar, one for the Day League and one for the Night League. League members may bring a guest, and cost for guest is $15 due at the time of sign-up. Deadline to sign up is Tuesday, November 29th. Senior Men's Golf Association Christmas/Awards Dinner The Rolling Hills Senior Men's Golf Association will have its annual Christmas/Awards Dinner on Tuesday, December 13th, at the Rolling Hills Clubhouse. Cocktail hour is at 6:30 PM with dinner served at 7 PM by Parker's Catering. Please contact Sherrill Gunn or Don Korte if you wish to attend. Deadline to sign up is Tuesday, December 6th.

Enjoy light hors d'oeuvres along with Eggnog, plain or mixed. Complimentary bar from 4:00 to 5:00 PM. Holiday music provided by Kevin Kortz from Murray State University. Share the spirit of the holiday season with your RHCC friends. Kentucky Night at RHCC - Wednesday, 12/21 It's the annual Battle for the Bluegrass -- UK Wildcats vs. Louisville Cardinals. It doesn't get any better than this for college basketball in Kentucky. Wear your colors for your favorite Kentucky team. Game time is 6:00 PM on Wednesday, December 21st. The Social Committee will be furnishing fried chicken. Bring your favorite side dishes and dessert to share. It's a great rivalry and is shaping up to be another great game! NEW YEAR'S EVE at ROLLING HILLS!! The Clubhouse will be rockin' with the music of ADAM AND THE H BOMBS as we ring in the new year at Rolling Hills. The fun begins at 8:30 PM on Saturday, 12/31. Dance the night away to your favorite songs; then enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet after the midnight countdown to 2016!! Tickets are $75 Couple / $37.50 Single and include reserved seating at the dance, party favors, midnight champagne toast and the breakfast buffet. Tickets for RHCC members go on sale and may be purchased at the bar starting Saturday, December 3rd. Ticket sales to the general public, if available, start December 26th. A map is available in the bar for making table reservations. Buy your tickets and reserve your table EARLY!!!
