ENGLAND GOLF AND ON COURSE FOUNDATION HAVE ANNOUNCED A PARTNERSHIP TO INVOLVE MORE INJURED, WOUNDED AND SICK SERVICE PERSONNEL AND VETERANS IN GOLF. THE FOUNDATION AIMS TO TRANSFORM LIVES THROUGH GOLF, BY TEACHING SKILLS WHICH RESTORE CONFIDENCE AND PROMOTE RECOVERY, AND BY CREATING WORK EXPERIENCE AND EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES. Currently the Foundation has over 450 beneficiaries, proudly referred to as their members, and hopes to reach many more. Now, with the support of England Golf, the Foundation aims to: Introduce a further 200 injured, wounded and sick Service personnel and veterans to golf by April 2017 Create 45 work experience placements in the golf industry Find employment in the golf industry for 20 members of the Foundation. Introduce 40 women to the game The partnership supports the aims of the England Golf strategic plan, Raising Our Game, which calls on all who care about the game to work together to create a brighter future for golf, including more players, more members and stronger clubs.
