Medical service Medical service is provided by Dr André Veya (Mobile : ) Medical information Declaration of medical condition Athletes with medical conditions that may be relevant in the case of a medical emergency are responsible, at every Event when riding, for wearing a medical data carrier* from a system provider able to communicate information at least in English. Alternatively (and at the minimum) a medical armband of good quality can be used. Athletes who chose to wear an armband should download and fill the form available for this purpose on the FEI s website: role/officials/eventing/forms. * Medical data carrier (also called medical identification tag ): small emblem or tag worn on a bracelet, neck chain, or on the clothing, intended to alert paramedics/physicians/ first responders that the wearer has an important medical condition. Conditions that are relevant include recent head injury, serious past injuries/surgery, chronic health problems such as diabetes, long-term medications and allergies. 8 8.2. Veterinary service Veterinary service is provided by Dr Charles F. Trolliet (Mobile : ) The Grange-Neuve Veterinary Clinique is located 15 minutes from the competition venue. Electrical connexions will be available in the lorry park, however Competitors must bring their own extention cables Invitation Welcome cocktail for riders and grooms will be held in the «Arena Lounge» on Thursday August 30. at 7.30 pm. 11. Insurances All Chefs d Equipe, athletes, owners, trainers, team veterinarians and their accompaniments are personally responsible for damages to third persons caused by themselves, their employees/grooms, their agents or their horses. The OC will NOT be responsible for any damage caused by athletes, their horses, owners, NF officials, their employees/grooms or their representatives 12. Additional information Insurance for horses In order to improve our service level for all competitors, equissima Lausanne, in partnership with epona, Switzerland s leading animal insurance company, is happy to offer an insurance cover for your horses for the entire duration of the competition venue. The insurance coverage starts from the first horse inspection at arrival until you leave the competition venue / place. Extent of policy cover provided: - Costs of veterinary treatment including emergency treatments at the event venue and in a Swiss university clinic or private clinic following accident or acute illness. - Costs of emergency transport by horsebox, specially adapted van or horse ambulance are included, as long as the horses are accompanied and kept under supervision and all measures are taken to avoid complications and accidents. This service is provided by equissima Lausanne and the epona insurance company equissima Cross-Country Run A pedestrian running race will take place on Friday August 31. at 6.30 pm in collaboration with the Footing Club Lausanne. It will feature the option of one or two loops of the CIC 1* crosscountry course. If you are interested in inspecting the course one last time, do not hesitate and register at your arrival at the show office. Registration is free for competitors and grooms Show jumping competition: Six-Bar The traditional Six-Bar competition will take place on Saturday evening 1 st September. 10 Annex 1 Meeting équestre international Le Chalet-à-Gobet GUIDELINES FOR TEMPORARY IMPORTATION OF HORSES IN SWITZERLAND 1. Possibilities - The ATA carnet, a document allowing to cross the border outside the opening hours of the customs office, as long as the customs office is serviced. This document is available at a Chamber of Commerce of the country of exportation and must be officially opened beforehand at a customs office prior to crossing the border. Up to five horses may be entered on the same document. - the Customs Declaration for Temporary Admission (DDAT). The border must be crossed during the opening hours of the customs office. Entry and exit must be done through the same customs office. For more details see also: 2. DDAT Procedure The DDAT procedure is simple, free of charge, but with a guarantee deposit. When entering Switzerland, the customs office will ask you to make a deposit (cash or credit card). The amount of this deposit depends on the value of the horse. The value must be realistic. Upon return from Switzerland, the entire deposit will be refunded in cash or on the same credit card used when entering the country. For customs clearance For customs clearance, the following must be presented: the horse, the horse s passport, the certificate of registration to the Lausanne International Horse Trials 2018, which may be requested from the Show Office by anja.dinatale@equissima.ch a document certifying the reasonable value of the horse, the customs form Nr completed according to the sample below. It is available at the customs office or can be sent by post, a veterinary certificate (Annex I according to the Directive 2009/156/CE). TRACES notification is not necessary.
