In house training sessions will be organised for anyone interested once the summer exams are out of the way. The AH test is now available in a modular format. There are 4 modules and you may take them in any order you wish. You may also still sit all four modules at one time. Further information cam be found on the main Pony Club website on the Efficiency Test page but do please contact Gill if you would like further advice on this. B We have now had our first B test mounted training session which went very well. We will be running further mounted training sessions after the exams are out of the way in July. There will be a final mounted training session for both C and C+ before the tests in May. The training dates are as follows: C Test training - Thursday 21st May 6-8pm C+ Test training - Thursday 14th May 6-8pm Both training sessions will be held at Cherry Pool Farm, Claverdon from 6-8pm. Remember that it is now a requirement to hold you Road Rider Test before you can take your C+ Test. The test dates will be in the May half term holiday. C+ will be held on Tuesday 26th May at 10am and the C test will be held on Thursday 28th May at 10am. We will contact candidates nearer the time with specific information. 2 D+ The D+ assessment is on Thursday 28th May starting at 2pm. Details of the final training sessions for those going forward for assessment have been ed out. if anyone has not received this please contact Nadine or Barbara. A second assessment is planned for the weekend of September 19th and 20th and details of training sessions prior to this will be ed out nearer the time. D The D test assessment is on Tuesday 26th May at 2pm. An confirming this will be sent to those who have come forward for assessment. if you do not received an by 08 May and wish to come forward for assessment please contact Barbara. Road Rider Training 2015 Training for Road Rider Achievement badge and Road Rider test will commence on May 1st. 3 Rally Programme Saturday 16th May Dressage Test Riding Rally - from 11am - 8 years and over To be held at Wooton Grange, Hill Wooton, CV35 7PP (please note change of venue). This rally is geared towards anyone wanting help and practice riding a dressage test at any level from Introductory to Open. You will be given instruction on your test, a chance to ride it and be judged on it. The tests will be Pony Club Novice Dressage 2009, Intermediate Dressage 2013, Open Dressage If you prefer you may also ride the relevant Area Eventing test. Younger members may ride the PC Introductory test. Times to be given. Please state very clearly when applying which test you would like to ride. For directions please see their website Christie Wright, experienced coach and international event rider, will be coaching and it is open to all those jumping 70cm and above. Why not look at the preview of the course on the Aylesford website? Please state clearly when applying what height cross country you are confident at jumping. The dressage tests to choose from are; Novice eventing test 2013 Intermediate eventing test 2015 All tests can be called. Showjumping heights are 85cm, 95cm and 105cm. This rally is aimed at our younger members. The children will have the opportunity to gain two mini badges and also get to have a country ride followed by a picnic. The aim is to improve balance and position on Charley the dressage horse, with donations of 10 for RDA, for 10 minutes on him. Swimming horses is a great form of fitness training, or for rehabilitation purposes, injuries and even treatment for laminitis. Come along and see how it all works, your own horse is welcome at a cost of per swim, but places may be limited so please book early. This rally will be on foot, if awarded badges will be 1 each. This is a farm ride and will follow a circular route via Wood Farm Ufton. Each group will be accompanied by a mounted instructor and assistant. The ride is mainly off road but there will be a small amount of road work. At the end of the ride there will be a chance to go round the cross country fences (max height 70cm). Please bring your body protector if you wish to jump. Lead reins and any not ready to go out on the ride will have a short ride along the disused railway then have some fun on the farm. Richard trains his horses at his Combridge yard near to Uttoxeter with his wife Gill and his son, Joe. Richard has kindly agreed to allow us to visit his yard to watch him work his horses and to look at his yard and how he manages his yard and horses. Joe, Richard s son, is an International show jumper so the yard is not just a dressage yard but a jumping yard also. Thursday 27th August - Fun Eventing Rally pm - All ages To be held at Bissell Wood Equestrian Centre, Deansford Lane, Blakedown, Nr Kidderminster, DY10 3NN. This will be an all day rally, with a chance to do flatwork, showjumping and xc from 60-90cm on all weather course, suitable for all ages. Please bring a picnic and there is an opportunity to swim in their outdoor pool weather permitting! Cross country shirts may be worn at cross country rallies Cream or beige jodhpurs Pony club badge with felt if applicable when wearing jackets Jodhpur boots short or long and clean Long hair should be tied up and a hair net worn Jewellery must NOT be worn. Newly pierced ears can be taped but NOT when competing in area competitions The correct standard hat is mandatory and must be tagged Hat silks can be black or navy Members are encouraged to purchase a NWPC rain jacket but any dark plain outer coat is acceptable Members should look tidy, shirts tucked in, collars done up and tie tightened to the collar Long sleeves should be worn for all jumping activities PONIES Numnahs and girths should be brown, white or navy. Any piping around the edge should be the same colour Tack should be clean and fitted correctly.
