Our Mission is to teach children the importance of nature and its conservation through the joy of play.
A Family Story Safari Ltd was inspired in 1979 by an endangered species card game that my parents Bernard and Rosemarie Rubel discovered while visiting the Munich Zoo in Germany. Fueled by their passion to educate through the joy of play, my parents transformed that rummy game into a collection of museum-quality figures enjoyed by children, adults, educators and collectors alike. Bernard A. Rubel 1960 As we grew, we signed license agreements with Carnegie Museum of Natural History and the Monterey Bay Aquarium in 1986 and These licenses established us as a leading producer and distributor of scale model dinosaurs and sea life worldwide. Inspired by my parents passion, my son Alexandre Pariente, daughter-in-law Christina Pariente and I continue to create authentic figures that speak to the innate curiosity in all of us. Three generations later, we are pleased to offer more than 1,000 realistic, hand-painted products that teach children the importance of nature and its conservation through the joy of play. We invite you to Discover the Frontiers of your Imagination with us. Rosemarie Rubel 1948 Alexandre Pariente, CEO Christina Pariente, President
Who We Are For three generations, Safari Ltd has been a leading manufacturer and worldwide distributor of educational toys specializing in authentic, hand-painted figures. Educators Safari Ltd underscores the importance of creating Toys that Teach. We provide educational information online in English, French, Spanish, German and Italian for each of our figures. Our team thoroughly researches the latest wildlife news, conservation efforts and prehistoric discoveries to ensure this information is accurate, yet captivating. Imagination in Play Imagination is a fundamental element of the learning process. Our collections include more than 1,000 products, spanning from mythical creatures to historical figures. From dinosaurs to wildlife, dragons to fairies, horses to farm life, reptiles to sea life, Safari Ltd takes you on a journey of wonderment. At Safari Ltd, we design toys that enrich the joy of play. In a highly technological world the most endangered species is the imagination Without imagination, the individual loses the creative spark. We intend to never let that happen. Bernard A. Rubel, Founder, 1994 Discover more in our New Product Guide
Community Caretakers We are passionate about fostering education and enriching environments. Whether it s supporting our military, sponsoring orphaned elephants, donating toys to underprivileged children or contributing to environmental preservation, we contribute toward a healthier and happier planet. Some organizations we support are... and more. For all things share the same breath the beast, the tree, the man, they all share the same breath What is man without the beasts? If all the beasts were gone, man would die from a great loneliness of spirit. For whatever happens to the beasts, soon happens to man. All things are connected Whatever befalls the earth befalls the sons of the earth. Chief Seattle, 1854
Toys Inspired by Nature Powered by Imagination Museum-Quality Authenticity At Safari Ltd, we carefully craft our products for the most discerning eyes of all those of a child. Before designing each figure in the USA, our sculptors thoroughly research the anatomy of each animal to ensure our figures are as lifelike as possible. We continually update each sculpt as new scientific data emerges. Artfully Painted By Hand No two Safari Ltd figures are the same. Each product is hand-painted with sometimes up to 20 different steps. Take a peek at the hand-painting process of our Wildlife Wonders Cheetah Enjoyed for a Lifetime Many fans who have collected our figures as children in the 1980s still have and enjoy them today. A Safari Ltd collection endures for generations. Experience the Safari Ltd Blog

What They Say... I have used the range of Safari Ltd dinosaur figures as teaching tools for our Dinosaurs and Diorama classes at the Smithsonian Summer Camp program for many years It is like having a 3D textbook in class for the kids to use. Randy Knol, Prehistoric Times Columnist I worked for an African Travel Company (Park East) for 10 years previously to my life starting Twiniversity. I ve traveled to Africa over nine times and have seen many of your animals myself. Your attention to detail with your Safari Ltd animals is what really drew me to you guys in the first place. Natalie Diaz Twiniversity Founder & Writer I wish you knew how incredibly important Safari Ltd is to our family. Your replicas are treasured and played with every single day :) By far, the girls favorite toys, they never tire of them. Raina Angelier, Mother & Facebook Fan Kudos to your company for taking the time to help provide children with the chance to experience wild and amazing creatures up close and with their own hands a blind child s way of seeing. Hillary Kleck, Founder of Sensory Sun Educational Technologies
