3 Tech Sessions Report: Richard Pratt s engine and transmission work completed and on it s way out of the basement, up the stairs and finally back home where it belongs. John Wallace s Healey is almost ready for the road with new brakes all around. Just needs the master cylinder installed coming soon. Scott Brown gets a new top for his recently acquired Austin Healey with a little help from his friends.

4 Sgt. David Kreuter Memorial Highway State Rt. 264 (Bridgetown Rd.) In Miami and Green Townships Sgt. David Kreuter Memorial Highway Dedication Report On Saturday, April 27, several members of the OVAHC attended the solemn Sgt. David Kreuter Memorial Highway dedication ceremonies at the Miami Township Community Center in North Bend, Ohio. Don Klein, Tom and Nancy Hall, Jake and Joyce Jacobs, Dale & Sandy Ballinger, former and future members Tom and Vicki Osborne, and of course the parents of David, Ken Kreuter and Pat Murray witnessed the touching proceedings. After a welcoming by Paul Beck, Miami Township Trustees President, the Miami Township Fire Department posted the colors. Following the pledge of allegiance, a terrific rendering of God Bless America by Michelle Lamb filled the hall. Ken then took the microphone and relayed the entire history of Lima Company. The huge artistic murals of the troops complete with the display of empty Marine boots, stood tall all around Ken. He thanked everyone for attending, introduced his family members, and called up Ohio State Senator, Bill Seitz to speak. Bill was instrumental in fulfilling the goal of recognizing such a brave soldier in a permanent fashion on a stretch of Route 264 / Bridgetown Road that David traveled many years before the young Marine left for Iraq. Jason Dominguez was a member of Lima Company, and was on the battlefields with David and told of David s dedication to duty. County Commission President, Chris Monzel proclaimed the day in honor of David. The Patriot Guard Riders followed with more moving words. David s son Christian, born after David was deployed, David s widow Chrystina, and David s nephew Mason, then unveiled the sign. The standing room only crowd gave a rousing round of applause and a solid show of respect. A bagpiper played Amazing Grace and Going Home with great effect, trailing away as he ended the second song marching towards the ball fields outside which David used to play on. Ken then spoke of the desire to make a positive and continuing tribute by developing the David Kreuter Memorial Fund. Our club has made an annual contribution to this worthy cause. Ken introduced each of the 2013 student scholarship winners, brought them all up front, and center to be properly recognized. After Ken's closing remarks, we were able to socialize and enjoy the snacks from the Three Rivers Woman's Club. It is possible you will see the sign yourself, especially since the May meeting was scheduled for the Chamberlains home not too far away. Thanks to Ken and Pat for inviting us to the ceremony and for providing America with such an outstanding and heroic individual.

5 Ohio Valley Austin Healey Club Driver's Training / Gymkhana 2013 Sundays: May 26, June 23 (Ladies Day)*, July 14, September 1 & 29 - Rain or Shine Location: Live Oak Vocational School Buckwheat Road - Milford, OH Exit # 57 from and go northeast on Route 28. (towards Blanchester) use the bypass - Right on Buckwheat Road (@ Dairy Mart gas station) this is the nearest rest room and store Time: Gates will remain closed until 10:30am for setup. Registration closes at 11:00am or 20 cars, whichever happens first. Runs start as soon as possible before noon. Clean up/ awards 3:30 ish. Cost: $20.00 per Driver - Max - 25 drivers - spectators free! Everyone will be required to sign a waiver and all drivers are required to work the course when they are not running. Bring lawn chairs and a cooler; there is shade available. No alcohol. Required Equipment: A safe/functioning car (we will inspect it) any make or model, the cooler the better; Helmets are required for drivers and passen-gers. There are usually loaners available. Goal: "Fun & Family Oriented Gymkhana" Meaning - street legal tires driven to the event only (no tire changing is allowed); No trailered cars unless they are vintage European or Japanese. We give out awards for improvement over the day i.e., Training. This event is designed to be a safe, fun way to enjoy your automobile. No dangerous driving or recklessness will be tolerated. We operate near a resi-dential section and ask that the exhaust system be street legal for noise. We want to come back next year.
