4 ROUTE 66 COURIER PAGE 4 JANUARY LADIES LUNCHEON Here is a picture of us at the January 20th Ladies' Luncheon at Wildflower Bread Company. Seated are: Alana Velez, Sallie Page, Sue Miller, Binnie Zink, Yolanda (Kathy Perkins' friend), Kathy McKee, Jan Blankenship, Kathy Perkins, Pat Wiebe (the birthday girl!), Marva Hernandez and Jackie Clark. We had a great time, as always! HOT! HOT! HOT! A very special club cruise is scheduled for March 14. Have you ever wondered how Two Guns got its name? From highway 40 Two Guns doesn t look like much but did you know there was a zoo there, or that the gas station and café was named Rimmy Jim s? Our noted historian, Sean Evans, will provide a special presentation and tour from one end of this historic ghost town to the other. This cruise begins at 10:00 sharp at the trestle bridge at Townsend- Winona, then travels out to Two Guns for Sean s talk. After the presentation, we will satisfy our hunger by cruising over to Twin Arrows for a 1:30 Lunch! Re-visit the past as Sean reconstructs the history of Two Guns on old Route 66.
