Northern Lights Holiday Parade - Saturday December 10th - Downtown Flagstaff Mark it on your calendar. Specific info will be ed out by John on 9 Decemebr after parade organizer s meeting. Weibe Post-Parade Open House - Saturday December 10th - Weibe House Gather at the Wiebe s for a post-parade warm-up gathering. Staying warm while tailgating, what more to ask for! Goodguys Southwest Nationals - November Scottsdale, AZ An évent sociological at Westworld in Phoenix. The annual gathering of great cars and great vendors draws many of the finest customs and street rods from around the country. 2nd Annual Amado Chili Cookoff and Car Show - November 19th - Amado, AZ $10 registration and chili. What more to ask for?!? Fund raiser for Amado Community Youth Programs. 3rd Annual Copper Basin K-12 Classic Cruise-In - Saturday January 21st - San Tan Valley Fund raiser for Band and Orchestra programs. Vendors, concessions, and registration is FREE. 11AM - 4 PM Did I mention registration is free?!? Management reserves a couple of tables for us every Friday night. It s a great opportunity to have a malt, some fries, and hang out with fellow club members - and of course, talk cars.

4 Route 66 Car Show Charity Distribution At the November General Membership Meeting, the membership voted on the distribution. Kathy Strango, the Treasurer, reported that $17,500 was available for distribution. The membership voted to a make 6 awards of $2, each in additon to the $500 already awarded to the NAU ROTC program and the Humane Society 50/50 net of $883. Eighteen charities were presented for consideration and the following six were chosen by having received the most votes among the 18: Flagstaff Family Food Center Flagstaff Shelter Services Northern Arizona Food Bank Poore Medical Clinic St Mary s Food Bank Summit Fire Department Seeking Contributions If you have anything you d like to contribute to the Route 66 Courier, please forward it to Dave Schaubert. 5 Remember Friday at the Galaxy Ed Wiebe gave me some pics from a photo-shoot at a Friday Evening at the Galaxy Cafe. This is one of those club events that has faded somewhat with familiarity. When Friday evening comes I have a hard time remembering until it is too late, and I only live 5 minutes away! Perhaps this will help all of us remember to come on out to hang with friends and eat some greasy food!!!

6 Cruisin Broadway - Fargo ND I didn t get any photos from around Arizona so I thought y all might like to see something different. Cruisin Broadway is held every first Thursday in the summer. Just a guess but it appeared there were around classic (and not so classic) cars crowding the old downtown strip. Not bad for a monthly event.
