SPORTING LICENSES Each competitor and TM must possess a valid FAI license and must be on the FAI database OFFICIAL LANGUAGES English & Slovak AWARDS FAI medals and diploma will be awarded to the first, second and third place individuals and teams in the senior and junior championships. 3 PROTEST FEE 50 EUR. Protests are processed according to the FAI Sporting Code. BANQUET 40 EUR / senior, 20 EUR / junior. Registration takes place on Friday, August the 24 th and Saturday, August 25 th in Tomčiansky dvor, Tomčany, GPS: 49 03'39.8"N 18 56'25.7"E Main facilities in Valča Valley will be under reconstruction at the time of the Championship hence we were forced to move the centre of Championship to Tomčiansky dvor many of you know the place from previous World Cup.

4 FLYING SCHEDULE FOR COMPETITION DAYS According to SC 4 Vol. F1, paragraph schedule may vary due to weather conditions. 1 st round 9:30-10:30 2 nd round 10:45-11:45 3 rd round 12:00-13:00 Lunch 13:00-14:00 4 th round 14:00-15:00 5 th round 15:15-16:15 PRELIMINARY FLY OFF SCHEDULE 1 st Fly off 17:15-17:25 2 nd Fly off 18:25-18:35 PARTICIPATION Each National Aero club / National Federation may enter a team consisting of 3 seniors, 3 juniors, team manager, team manager s assistant, 2016 European senior Champion, 2016 European junior Champion, one time keeper, helpers, supporters, press representative. TIMEKEEPERS Each National Team may participate with one timekeeper for whom the Organizer will provide full board and lodging, local transportation, banquet, souvenirs at the European Championship. The time keepers are requested to bring their own binoculars, tripod and stopwatches. FLYING SITE LOCATION The flying site is on Turcianske Jaseno hills close to city of Martin (12km), flying from Velka Fatra hills, in beautiful valley with fantastic scenery. Centre of championship will take place in Valca valley, where are enough accommodation capacities of all categories. Organizer will prepare program for every day for all participants of championship and will make a space for passing free time together. In Valca valley is also enough space for camper parking. 7 NEW FAI RULE CHANGE New item (c) to Launching: a) Launching is by hand, the competitor standing on the ground (jumping allowed). b) Each competitor must adjust and launch the model himself. c) Competitors may erect streamers at any location that is unlikely to obstruct the flight of models. Competitors may use devices to measure meteorological conditions at the launch position but are not permitted to make use of meteorological data from sensing devices which are situated more than 20m from the starting line. Arrival is possible by D1 highway or E50 from west / east and by route Nr.65 from south. Air connection is possible to Bratislava (250km), Poprad (120km), Kosice (260km). 8 NATIONAL ANTHEM AND FLAGS Each team has to bring its own 2 pieces of national flag and CD with national anthem. INSURANCE The organizer will provide third party insurance in accordance with paragraph B.8.9 of Volume ABR of the FAI Sporting Code only. Any other type of insurance should be covered by the participants. Citizens from EU must bring EC-111 health insurance certificate. Non-EU citizens must provide own insurance and a copy must be enclosed to the final entry. During the contest days the ambulance with doctor will be at disposal.
