2 The Norwegian Armed Forces will host Nordic Military Championship in Military Pentathlon in Norway. The program includes the Nordic categories for men and women. 3 Annex I PROGRAMME AND GENERAL INFORMATION 1. PARTICIPATION For the Nordic Championship, Denmark, Finland, Sweden and Norway are allowed to send two teams; twelve in men s category and eight in women s category, in total 25 persons. The total numbers of athletes are estimated to reach REGULATIONS The competition will be governed by the following regulations: - International Military Sports Council: Military Pentathlon General Regulations for the Nordic Military Championships The regulations for the Nordic Military Championship in Military Pentathlon, ORGANIZERS AND TRANSPORT The Championship is hosted by the Østerdalen Garrison in Rena, situated in the middle of Hedmark, which is the eastern part of Norway. The participating countries covers the travel expenses back and forth to Norway. Participants may travel in own vehicles and arrive directly at Rena. If participants travel by plane, they are advised to arrive at Oslo Airport Gardermoen (OSL). Host unit will arrange transportation to Rena. 4. CONDITIONS OF STAY During their stay in Norway, the participants will be guests of the Norwegian Armed Forces. Board and lodging is at the expense of the host unit. All participants will be accommodated in barracks. Extra members are requested to book hotel rooms. Expenses including telephone, laundry and drinks must be paid by the consumers. 5. SPORT FACILITIES Shooting will be carried out at Rena Garrison in a 200 meter shooting range with 20 targets. An electronic scoring system is used. Obstacle swimming will be performed in the Garrison, at a 25 meter indoor swimming-pool. The other disciplines will take place in, or in proximity to, the Garrison area. Exercise-grenades for warm-up and competition will be provided by host unit. 6. WEATHER CONDITIONS The average weather condition in June at Rena: - Temperature: C. Rain showers are possible. 7. PASSPORTS, VISAS For information regarding passports and visa for entering Norway, please contact the Norwegian Embassy in your country.
