2 Welcome, dear fishermen friends, I am delighted to express on my name and on behalf of the Italian Sport Fishing and Underwater Activities Federation (FIPSAS), the best greetings to all participants to take part at the 17 th Long Casting of Sea Weights World Championship for Seniors and the 1 st Long Casting of Sea Weights World Championship for Ladies that will be held from 25 to 30 August 2014 at the Federation Centre, situated in Castel Giorgio (TR) I am sure that all attending athletes, who will join Montefiascone as well as all managers, judges and stewards will find a way to explore and appreciate our beauties and taste the hospitality of Lazio and Umbria people and of all those who have made all efforts in the organization of this important sport fishing event. I am particularly delighted to express my warmest welcoming to everybody in the aim to live together some happy days in the name of sport. A special good luck to all Judges convened to manage this race, in the certainty of their professional and fair commitment they have also expressed in precedent occasions. Finally, I wish to thank the organizing Committee and his President, the local authorities and all journalists for their support and contribution for this event s good success. 3 GLORIOSA CASTERS A.S.D., in collaboration with F.I.P.S.A.S., is pleased and honoured to invite your Federation to take part at the 17 th Long Casting of Sea Weights World Championship for Seniors and the 1 st Long Casting of Sea Weights World Championship for Ladies that will be held from 25 to 30 August 2014 at the Federation Centre, situated in Castel Giorgio (TR). The hotel structure chosen to host delegations will be Hotel LA CARROZZA D ORO, situated in Montefiascone (VT) in via del lago n. 95. The Hotel is situated on the shore of Bolsena lake. It has 32 double rooms and 8 triple rooms. It also has extensive gardens with an open-air swimming pool. It is safe to swim in the lake, and there is a beach just 100 metres from the Hotel. Dinners will have two first courses (supplement on request), a main course, two side dishes, dessert and coffee. Food will be served with water, white and red wines and beer. Breakfast will be buffet-based, with sweet and savoury foods and the possibility of bacon and eggs. The package includes a lunch box, consisting of two rolls or three pieces of pizza for each athlete or accompanying person and a canned drink. There will be a continuous supply of drinking water at the competition venue. The package does not include drinks consumed by athletes or accompanying persons at the Hotel before or after dinner. 5 Members of the women s teams wishing to practise on 27 and 28 August will have at their disposal an area adjacent to the competition venue, which is not however demarcated in any way. Lady athletes should procure GPS instrumentation to check the distances reached. Delegations should provide a CD with their respective national anthem. Delegations shall also provide the organisers with at least two flags of their nation. The organisers will provide gazebos for teams and plastic chairs for athletes and accompanying persons plus a table for each participating nation. Road directions to the Hotel: - from A1 motorway exit Orvieto go in direction of Bolsena/Montefiascone and follow signs for Montefiascone. Distance Montalto Montefiascone: 50 kilometres; - from Fiumicino A12 motorway Rome/Civitavecchia after exiting motorway go straight on in direction of Grosseto exit Tarquinia direction Tuscania direction Montefiascone: 60 kilometres; - when reaching Montefiascone, head towards lake, once at the lakeside go left, after about 800 metres the Hotel is on your left. Route from centre of Montefiascone to Hotel La Carrozza D Oro 5 Km Competition venue situated at Castel Giorgio (TR), about 25 kilometres from the Hotel (25/30 minutes). From Montefiascone direction Orvieto, after 15 kilometres turn left for Castel Giorgio. Upon reaching Castel Giorgio go in direction of Castel Viscardo (SP 45), and after 3 kilometres turn left for SP 47 and Torre Alfina.
