2 2 * The students of Nursery celebrated Pongal on 18 th January 2018 by performing tableau and dance. The children understood the purpose of celebrating pongal festival and thanked Sun & Rain God, cattle & farmers. On 19 th January 2018, COSPLAY show was very entertaining and vibrant. cosplayers wore costumes and fashion accessories representing a specific character. * Bird Gallery was displayed on 25 th January 2018 wherein birds were categorized according to their characteristics features like Water birds, Flightless birds, Habitat of birds, Prey birds, Species of parrots. 65 th Republic Day was celebrated on 26 th Jan The Chairman Prof. Arun K.Tangirala was the Chief guest of the day. He hoisted our tri-coloured flag and administered the oath. He addressed the gathering. It was followed by cultural programmes by Primary, Middle and ALCHEMY ANNUAL PLAY: The Annual play of Vanavani was held at Primary Auditorium on 26 th January It was a culmination activity of the different batches of theatre students trained by Alchemy Theatres. Five short plays were staged.(i) Oru kadhai sollata (ii) The Merchant of Venice (iii) Wiseman s challenge (iv) Andare and The Giant (v) Lights Camera Action! WORKSHOP: * Students of class VII attended a workshop on science experiment, Prof.Sankara Narayanan (Faculty, IITM) along with Shri. Prem and Ms. Neerthika coordinated the event and guided the students throughout the session. * Middle school students celebrated Science Day on 6 th March 2018 by displaying more than 50 working models based on the fundamental concepts. * Heritage club organized a quiz programme for the middle school students on 27 th February Students were selected from all the four houses including the heritage club and prizes were awarded for the winners. * A few students of BinIt club from class VIII were taken to Jalakandeswar temple to clean the surrounding. The students were accompanied by Mrs. Gitanjali Elangovan. * The valedictory function of NSS girls unit was held on The chief guest Dr.Sitheek, District Liaison officer distributed certificates to the students for the year * To create awareness about HIV & AIDS among students of classes IX and XI, Red Ribbon club conducted various activities and certificates were given.

3 3 CAREER COUNSELLING: Students of class XI & XII attended a brief session on 2 nd February 2018 on study techniques conducted by Mr. Radhakrishnan from the KLAPS Education. He also briefed them on different courses they could pursue in their higher education and the best institutions which offer these courses. The programme was FAREWELL: * A farewell for class XII students was organized by the students of class XI with the help of their class teachers on 5th February Student representatives from each section of class XII shared their experience in Vana Vani. The Chairman Prof. Arun K. Tangirala also addressed and blessed the children for their * Mrs.G.Revathi and Mrs.K.Lakshmi, the retiring staff were felicitated on 5 th April The Chairman Prof.Arun.K. 4 4 * S.Shreyas of class VIII-A won Silver medal, merit certificate and a cash prize of Rs.750 for securing 3 rd place in Maths Talent Examination conducted by Periyar Science and Technology centre on 7 th January * More than 60 students of middle school participated in FORAYS- Annual Mathematics Erudition of the Higher order A Maths festival conducted by IIT Madras on 4 th March Mageshwaran.
