1 May 26 th, 2012 Invitation of Nanning International Board and Card Games Invitational Tournament Board and Card Games Associations: Hosted by Chinese Weiqi Association, Chinese Contract Bridge Association, Chinese Xiangqi Association,Administration of Sport of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Nanning Municipal People s Government, and organized by Nanning Sports Bureau, Nanning Sports Federation, Guangxi Weiqi Association and Guangxi Contract Bridge Association, and Guangxi Xiangqi Association, the Nanning International Board and Card Games Invitational Tournament will be held in November, 2012 (Register on November 3 rd, compete on 4 th 7 th, and depart on 8 th ). As the capital city of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Nanning serves as the political, economic, cultural, transportation and financial center. It enjoys a number of honorary titles such as Green City of China, Home to Folk Song from All Over the World, National Culturally Advanced City, Core City of Guangxi Beibu Bay Economic Zone, Venue for China-ASEAN Expo and Winner of UN Habitat Scroll of Honor. With a rising status, Nanning has been strategically put at the frontier of reform and opening-up drive by the central government. Taking this opportunity, Nanning is endeavoring to become an international city of China-ASEAN region and the best place of Guangxi. We warmly welcome board and card games federations from different regions and countries to attend the tournament, to experience ethnic culture, to enjoy the beauty of the green city, to exchange skills, to enhance friendship and to promote the development of board and card games. 3 Regulation of the 7 th Nanning International Bridge Invitational Tournament 1. Hosted by: Chinese Bridge Association,Administration of Sport of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Nanning Municipal People s Government 2. Organized by: Nanning Sports Bureau, Nanning Sports Federation, Guangxi Bridge Association 3. Co-organized by: Nanning Sports Administration & Training Center, Nanning Bridge Association 4. Time: November 3 rd 7 h, Location: Nanning, Guangxi, China 6. Participation: 1) Countries and Regions Invited: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Viet Nam, European and American countries, other Asia-Pacific countries; Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR, Chinese Taipei. There is no limitation to the number of teams sent from each invited countries and regions. 2) Two teams should be sent to represent Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Nanning city respectively. 3) Each team is allowed to contain 1 team leader or coach, and 4 6 players. Participants of teams from outside of Chinese mainland should not be a citizen of Chinese mainland. 4) There should be no more than two players who have been registered in A Class Clubs in each team of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Nanning city. 7. Events: Open Teams event, Swiss Movement event, Open Pairs

4 event, Mitchell Pairs event for Pairs that are not from the Chinese mainland. 8. Competition Rules: 1) Open Teams event and Swiss Movement event will be conducted according to the entries. 2) Open Pairs event has one session of Mitchell. 3) Mitchell Pairs event for Pairs that are not from the Chinese mainland one session of Mitchell, and no Chinese mainland player is allowed to participate in this event. 4) Each participant is required to fill in three copies of convention card, one copy should be submitted to the Competition Department for filing, and the other two copies should be brought to the competition venue. 5) Psychic bidding is forbidden in the events. 6) The events comply with the latest Rules and Regulations for Bridge certified by Chinese Bridge Association. 9. Ranking and Awards: 1) Open Teams event: the top 4 winners will be awarded trophies or medals and prize money. The Organization awards 10,000 RMB for the 1st place, 8,000 RMB for the runner-up, 6,000 RMB for the 3rd place, and 5,000 RMB for the 4th place. 2) Swiss Movement event: the top 4 winners will be awarded trophies or medals and prize money. The Organization awards 5,000 RMB for the 1st place, 4,000 RMB for the runner-up, 3,000 RMB for the 3rd place, and 2,000 RMB for the 4th place. 3) Open Pairs event: the top 6 winners will be awarded medals and prize money. 4) Mitchell Pairs event for Pairs that are not from the Chinese

5 mainland: the top 4 winners will be awarded medals and prize money. 5) Souvenirs will be presented to all the participants. 10. Expense: 1) There is no limit to the number of teams from each country or area, however, the Organizing Committee provide 3 double rooms (not including food) for the first entry team of each country or region. Expenses of others teams sent by the same country or region shall be borne by the team(s) themselves. 2) A fee of 500 RMB is supposed to be paid by each team participating open teams events. No fees are required for other events. 3) In-city transportation (between hotels and airport/railway station) is provided by the Organizing Committee. 11. 6 3) A technical meeting will be held at 20:30pm of November 3 rd. All team leaders are expected to participate. 4) Departure: November 8 th. 12. All rights to the Regulations are reserved by the Organizing Committee. 13. Matters uncovered in the Regulations will be further notified in due course.
