1 See our web page at NEWS LETTER OF THE SUN LA KES ROA DRU NNE RS RV CL UB Roadrunner News April 2018 Greetings all: This month continues to be a very busy time for our Club, especially as some of our members prepare to leave the Valley for the summer. Spring Fling is coming up on Sunday, April 15 th beginning at 2PM at Sisk Park in Palo Verde. If you are unsure of how to get to the park, ask for directions when you enter the Palo Verde main gate. Also, please don t forget to let us know if you can make it so we order the right amount of food. If you haven t already signed up to bring an appetizer, side dish or dessert please let Mary Ruddy know as soon as possible. Mary can be reached via at jmruddy@hotmail.com. This is always a good time. Don t forget to bring your putters and golf balls if you want to compete for the golf trophy. Nothing is required other than picking the right partner if you want to compete in the Bocce Ball tournament. We are currently looking to fill two (2) Board positions for the 2018 / 2019 term. Pat Prekel and Mary Ruddy have served our Club admirably but it s time for new members to step up for this new term. We have two candidates that will be presented at our April Club meeting which means that unless there are any other candidates, they will be accepted for the 2018/2019 Board. The 2019 Budget process is well underway and will be presented at our April 10 th meeting and voted on at our May 8 th meeting. Rallies are in full swing with the latest one to Camp Verde in the books. I hear that it was a huge success. We have some great locations planned for the remainder of this year but don t be afraid to plan more rallies. I am sure we can support more locations to give even more members the opportunity to participate. We also need to start thinking about where we would like to go in 2019 so we can plan far enough in advance to lock down some great locations. Thanks for making our Club a success! Steve Holliger, Acting President Editor s Comments: If any of the addresses or phone numbers listed in this newsletter are in error, please notify me. If anyone changes their address, please notify me, so you will continue to receive the news-letter. Thank you Ruby Meyer LMeyer829@aol.com The deadline for the May news letter is May 1, 2018 Wagon Masters send me information as early as possible on your upcoming rallies for inclusion in the news letter. Hopefully the information will generate more interest in the rally. IT PAYS TO ADVERTISE. The newsletter is published monthly eight times a year, October through May, by the Sun Lakes RV Club. This club is a nonprofit organization established to provide opportunities for fraternization of Sun Lakes and surrounding area residents whom are interested in RV activities through club meetings and club campout rallies. It is not connected with any commercial or private business. An annual club membership of $20.00 (per person) entitles the members to participate in club social events, club campout rallies and subscription to the newsletter.
