1 Houston Public Schools Houston, MO Minutes of the Board of Education in regular session May 12, Quorum A regular meeting of the Board of Education Houston R-I School District of Texas County, Missouri was convened at 6:00 p.m. with the following members present: Sam Kelley, Curtis Hubbs, Stacie Ely, and Jo Holland. Closed Session go into closed session pursuant to RsMO , subsections 2 & 12, 3 and 13. Motion carried 4-0. Sam Kelley yea, Curtis Hubbs yea, Stacie Ely yea, and Jo Holland yea. Open session began at 6:30 p.m. Approve Agenda A motion was made by Curtis Hubbs seconded by Sam Kelley to approve the agenda as amended. Motion carried 4-0. Members of the FFA who represented the organization at the state competition led the Pledge of Allegiance. Special Recognition Old Business Building Project New Business Consent Agenda Minutes/Previous Meeting Claims for Payment Transfers MSBA Policy Update 2015A Preliminary FY16 Budget Board Member Resignation Mr. Dill gave the Board an update on the Middle School/High School building project. A motion was made by Sam Kelley and seconded by Stacie Ely to approve the Consent Agenda as presented. Motion carried 4-0. Approve minutes from the April 14, 2015 Board meeting. Claims approved for payment were checks Mr. Dill presented the Board with MSBA Policy Updates 2015A. The Board will have the month of May to review the policies for potential adoption at the June meeting. Mr. Dill provided the Board with preliminary data being used to make fiscal decisions for the upcoming school year. accept the resignation of Sharon Horbyk as a school board member effective immediately. Motion carried 4-0. set the deadline of May 26, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. for accepting applications for the board vacancy. Motion carried 4-0.

A motion was made by Sam Kelley and seconded by Stacie Ely to approve the CSIP evaluation as presented by Mr. Dill. Board Reports Next Board Meeting Adjournment Mrs. Dill, Mr. Mayfield, Mr. Malam, Mrs. Collins, and Mr. Dill updated the Board regarding ongoing activities on the school campus. have the next regular board meeting on June 9, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at the Exceptional Child Cooperative.
