1 Page 1 Issue No. 15 Jan - Mar 2018 IFE 100th Anniversary in conjunction with Singapore Branch AGM cum Member s Night IFE Singapore branch held the IFE 100th Anniversary celebration in conjunction with the Annual General Meeting with Member s night on 23, March. The event was held in Park Royal on beach Road. About 100 people consisting of members and invited guests attended this event. Inside This Issue IFE 100 TH AGM 1-6 Cum Members Night Trip to KL IFCEM 7-8 The outgoing President Mr Azmi bin Adam officiated the event with an opening address, followed by the election of council members for the terms. 11 candidates contested for the 9 vacancies of the new council. A ballot was conducted on the floor with careful counting of votes by 3 nominated members and the following members were elected : SCDF Circular Storey Shelter (TRSS) SCDF Circular LPG Quiz 20

Page 7 Trip to KL IFCEM On the 26 th of March, 2018, nine IFE Singapore members made a trip to KL to meet up with IFE Malaysia, and handing over the Centenary Torch for their event which was the

7 Page 7 Trip to KL IFCEM On the 26 th of March, 2018, nine IFE Singapore members made a trip to KL to meet up with IFE Malaysia, and handing over the Centenary Torch for their event which was the Climbathon event. The IFE branches throughout the world were invited by IFE Malaysia to have a challenge to climb Mt. Kinabalu (in Sabah ) and the Centenary Torch will also be carried up the mountain to mark the celebration of IFE s one hundred years. IFE Singapore climbers were Mr Yee Poh Kin, Mr Koh Soon Chuang and Ms Kristy Chen, and a group of IFE members from Singapore had also gone to Kota Kinabalu ( the capital of Sabah ) to support our team. 9 Page 9 SERVICING AND MAINTENANCE OF FIRE EXTINGUISHERS 41 st RUN The 41st run of the popular Fire Extinguisher Servicing and Maintenance Course was conducted from the 18th December 2017 and ended with the practical assessment on the 27th December enthusiastic participants were put through a 6-night program before they were certified as competent. In this course, all of them performed well and passed the course successfully.
