7 June 12, 2018 To: All Eastern Presidents Cup Participants From: The US Youth Soccer East Region Presidents Cup Committee We would like to welcome all of you to the 2018 Eastern Presidents Cup Championships. We are building a great event that we feel will create a rewarding experience for all who participate and one that will continue to grow in the years to come. Our goal is to create an event that will give each of you an opportunity to play competitive games and to build life long memories. We hope, as this tournament continues to grow, you will have the good fortune to come back and continue to build some lasting friendships that will last a lifetime. For 2018, we have an exciting new change. This year, US Youth Soccer has added a new age group, the 18U, to the Presidents Cup event. Winners from this age group, as well as the 13U through 17U age groups, will go on to represent the East Region at the US Youth Soccer s National Presidents Cup Championships in Westfield, Indiana. With 112 teams coming from 9 different State Associations, winning the regional championship will be challenging task. We look forward to seeing some great competition. The Presidents Cup Committee would like to extend our sincere thanks to the West Virginia Soccer Association for hosting this year s event. Len Rogers, Dave Laraba and their group of volunteers have done a tremendous job organizing and running the event. Their efforts are what make tournaments like this a memorable experience for all who attend. We would also like to thank Jean Newton for undertaking the huge task of gathering all of the team registrations and roster information. We hope each of the participants will take a moment to thank the Host Committee and the volunteers for their hospitality and their hard work in making this tournament a success.
