In total, 85 competitor pairs enrolled in our competition by deadline. As the organizer, we would have hoped for a little more participants. Unfortunately, we have to settle for the said number. However, the quality of the competitors is very high and the equipment used is fine and modern. The course driven this year is mostly new, but as for the roads, it is at least as enjoyable and challenging as two years ago, when we received a lot of positive feedback. This rally guide includes specifications that FRC series rules or the rules of our competition do not specify. If something important is not included in this rally guide, please contact our organizers, who are happy to help. As we have recruited officials for the rally, we have received feedback stating that the service personnel of some competitors have been unresponsive to the rules of the competition or that they have otherwise acted in inappropriate ways towards the officials. This has made it more difficult to recruit officials because they do not wish to experience said conduct and have stated this as the reason why they are not willing to work with us again. This will thus act as a reminder for the competitors that you are also responsible for the actions of your service team during the competition. Bad conduct is only associated with a small minority, but as we say, one bad apple will ruin the bunch. If this kind of misconduct occurs, I am ready to interfere with it in the name of the authorization of the rules. Competitors are responsible for keeping the GPS tracking device ON during the reconnaissance and for giving them back to the Rally Office after reconnaissance. The tracking devices are received from the Rally Office and they are collected back at the finish. If a competitor is to retire, the device is left at the TC, official car or the Rally HQ with a retirement notification. A fee will be collected for devices not returned. Please remember to charge the device during the reconnaissance via USB power unit. 2.5 Dressing and shower facilities Dressing rooms, toilets and showers are located at the first floor of the Rally HQ. In addition, the dressing rooms and toilets of the ice-skating rink are available. There are toilets near the inspection area also.

Scrutineering Scrutineering is held at Vammalan Ammattikoulun auto-osasto (car compartment), Ratakatu 36, Sastamala. Competitor number- and windscreen stickers must be installed before scrutineering. The turbocharger will be sealed and the sealing wires must be intact and wide enough. Please remember to bring the drivers safety equipment (2016 regulations) to the safety inspection also. The safety equipment is inspected at the scrutineering area in a separate classroom. Follow the signposts. The sealing of any spare turbochargers and the inspection of the Pop-off valve is at the scrutineering area on Friday at It is possible to voluntarily weigh the car at the scrutineering area on Friday at The scrutineering is booked at: Documents needed: (FIA / National ASN) Inspection card (FIA / National ASN) Scrutineering form Tire code form Classes 1-7 If there are no FIA barcode markings in the tires which the competitor wishes to use, he must point that out during registration.

7 4. Insurance If necessary, the organizer can get a temporary transportation insurance and license for those cars, which are registered abroad. Reconnaissance for Special Stage 8 for everyone at Reconnaissance times have been limited to two (2) times for each SS and this also applies to those Special Stages driven twice. The reconnaissance vehicles can be parked at one s own service area space provided that it has enough space. Parking on the area marked on the service area map is also an option. 6. Trailers Near the Rally HQ, there is a parking area at Vammaksentie 1, Sastamala, which is reserved for the trailers. Follow the signposts and traffic control. Guidance is given from the area to the Rally HQ. The disassembly of the racing equipment is carried out in this area. 7. Service A centralized service area is in the direct proximity of the Rally HQ at Ratakatu, Sastamala (Map 1). A numbered map of the service area can be found on the KITI-service and during the week of the competition from the competitions web page The reception of the equipment is from Fri 31th of August at onwards. The area is guarded at night. In every competitor s car, there must be an oil spill kit capable of handling all oil-based liquids. The kit must include the material capable of absorbing the liquid, a trash bag and protective gloves. The capacity of absorbing the oil-based liquid is c. 10 liters.

8 7.1 Flexi-service During both service halts, flexi-service takes place. Once the competitor arrives at the break s timechecking station, he is given a leaving time from the service as well as the starting time of the service. After this, the competitor can move the car to the service area and attach a sticker indicating the time of the commenced service to a visible spot on the rally car. This is a means of indicating the starting time of the service. The official competition timer defines the actual time of the beginning of service. The competitors must immediately exit their vehicle after arriving at their service area. Premature starting of service procedures causes exclusion from the event. This is supervised by the event judges. The series organizer has the right to remove any possible in-car cameras installed by the organizer before the continuation of the service time. 8. Information on the Special Stages All new Special Stages are new or the conditions have changed from previous competitions. The utilization of old pace notes is not recommended. The cutting obstacles used on the Special Stages are similar to the obstacles used in Neste Rally. The obstacles are placed in such a way that they are easily visible.

There are two separate re-fueling areas for E85/FIA fuels: Rally HQ Vexve Areena after SS4, Itsenäisyydentie 49 and one gas station pump re-fueling. 9.4 Gas stations valid for re-fueling NESTE Citymarket, Itsenäisyydentie 66, Sastamala, 4 pumps, credit/debit card payment possible. There is no penalty for arriving in advance for classes 1-13 after which one should follow the finish organizers guidelines. Only the competitors to receive a prize are organized at the finish area for the distribution of prizes. Classes Finish TC 5C. There is a penalty for arriving too early. The competitors move to their own service area. 9.8 Retirement If you have to stop during SS for technical reasons or for any other reason, remember to use a warning triangle to inform other competitors. If you need medical help use/show the SOS sign to inform other competitors and officials. If you don t need medical assistance use OK sign. If you need to retire from the competition, call You have to fill up and leave a form of retirement (available at the timecard) and GPS-device at nearest TC, radio control point, official car or Rally Office.
