1 SPECIAL CATALOGED STOCK COW, BRED HEIFER & PAIR SALE FRIDAY DECEMBER 9, 2016 SALE 12:00 noon
2 Breeding Stock Terms and Conditions: Breeding stock is marked to the best of the veterinarian s ability. The process of pregnancy checking and aging cattle is an educated guess, not an exact science. A percentage of the veterinarian s judgement is determined by the size of the calf. The feed ration and the type if bull used will affect the size of the calf, thus determination of calving time will fluctuate. Age is determined by inspection of the animal s teeth and is not verified by actual birth dates. THE AUCTION BARN AND VETERINARIAN CANNOT GUARANTEE EXACT CALVING DATES OR AGE. Buyers are responsible for satisfying themselves as to the pregnancy and age of breeding stock prior to leaving the auction yards. Buyers are welcome, at their expense, to use another veterinarian to verify pregnancy and age while cattle are in the auction yards. Once cattle leave the auction yards, buyer accepts responsibility for age, pregnancy, health, and condition of breeding stock.
3 SHANE PORTER, D.V.M. PO BOX 122 LIMON, CO JAN MAR JUNE SEPT NOV FEB APR MAY AUG OCT DEC WHITE PAINT INDICATES PREGNANCY STATUS OF THE COW 2 yr 3 yr 4 yr 5 yr SOLID BROKEN WHITE TAG INDICATES AGE OF THE COW OFFICIALLY BANGS VACCINATED HEIFERS UNDER 24 MONTHS OF AGE HAVE RED MARKS ON THE HIP. COWS WITH A LEGIBLE BANGS TATTOO IN THEIR EAR HAVE A RED MARK ON THEIR TEST TAG. I HAVE PREGNANCY EXAMINED ALL COWS AND HEIFERS FOR THIS SALE AND FOUND THEM TO BE WITH A CALF AT THIS TIME. I HAVE MADE AN HONEST EFFORT TO DETERMINE THE APPROXIMATE TIME OF CALVING. HOWEVER, THERE IS NORMAL VARIATION IN SIZE OF CALVES AND DURATION OF PREGNANCY. I HAVE ALSO DETERMINED THEIR AGE BY EXAMINING THEIR FRONT TEETH. SHANE PORTER, D.V.M.
