Home Games In Bold (All Games Eastern Standard Time) Presbyterian College Blue Hose (0-6) vs. Army Black Knights (1-3) TODAY'S GAME: Presbyterian College travels to West Point, N.Y. to take on the Army Knights for the first time in program history. The Blue Hose are still looking for their first win as an NCAA Division Iinstitution. COACHES: PC head coach Gregg Nibert has the most wins in PC history with 327. He is the only coach in school history to reach the 200 and 300 win plateau and he is one season away from his third decade as the man in charge of the PC men s basketball program as the PC basketball season will be his 19th season at the helm of the Blue Hose. The Blue Hose have compiled a record of during his tenure and have tallied six 20-win campaigns in his 18 years. Currently one of the top 50 winningest coaches in NCAA Division I, Army coach Jim Crews is in his seventh season in charge of the Army basketball prorgam. Crews is at Army entering the PC game. Overall in over 23 years as a head coach, Crews is ROAD WARRIORS: The Black Knights are the seventh opponent for the Blue Hose this season. PC has yet to play at home in its current campaign and still has two road tilts before finally returning to the Templeton Center for its first home game of the year against Radford at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1. A FIRST: PC is playing 21 first time opponents this season. 2 Hose entering the Army game have played five first time opponents in the season. PC has only played Clemson in its history among its first six opponents. YOU NEVER FORGET: In Clemson, the Blue Hose faced off against their first ever NCAA Division I nationally-ranked opponent. Clemson is currently ranked 22nd in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll, while the Tigers check in at No. 24 currently in the Associated Press rankings. INSIDE MAN: Freshman Al'Lonzo Coleman continued his progression towards being a strong low post threat for PC against Clemson, setting a career-high in points with 18 against the Tigers. Coleman had one of the best all around lines for a Blue Hose player against Clemson as he had 18 points, four steals and six rebounds against the Tigers. 0-6: PC's 0-6 start marks the first time under Nibert that the Blue Hose have started with six consecutive losses. Prior to this season in Nibert's 18 years the Blue Hose had only inaugurated a season with four straight losses just once, losing four consecutive to open the season. Despite the 0-4 loss that season, PC finished the year 20-10, promptly kicking away the sluggish start by winning seven straight games after the 0-4 start. ALL-TOURNAMENT: Pat Kiscaden had one of the best three-game showings of his career as he ended the three games of the Basketball Travelers Invitational with a grand total of 60 points, including a careerhigh tying 27 in the loss to LMU on Saturday. His exploits in the three-day tournament earned him All- Tournament team plaudits. Kiscaden had a team game-high 18 points in PC s loss to New Mexico in its first game of the event on Friday and a team game-high 15 points in PC s narrow loss to St. Bonaventure on Sunday afternoon at The Pit. In total on the year, Kiscaden has led or tied for the Blue Hose team lead in scoring in four of PC s six games. KEEP IT GOING: Kiscaden has scored 76 points overall in PC's last four games for an average of 19 points per game. Kiscaden had 16 in the Clemson game. GETTING INTO GAME SHAPE: After trying to get back into game shape after offseason surgery, Bryan Bostic had his best game in a Blue Hose uniform in the season against St. Bonaventure as he finished with a season-best 12 points and six rebounds. The junior continued his strong play against Clemson as he finished as one of three Blue Hose in the Clemson game in double figures. Bostic had 10 in the game. DOUBLE DIGITS: The Blue Hose have had three players finish in double digits in four of PC's six games. The Blue Hose have had two or more finish with 10 or more points in five of their six games. PC did not have anyone reach double figures against Radford. PERFECT: The Blue Hose finished a game perfect from the charity stripe for the first time against Clemson. PC was a perfect 7-for-7 in the game from the free throw line. SECONDS: The Blue Hose will have two games against two first time opponents in as they will play Radford twice and Army twice in a home and away series between the two schools. THE STUDENT IN STUDENT-ATHLETE: All five PC seniors from last year's PC men's basketball squad graduated last May. In total, all 51 of 51 seniors during the Gregg Nibert tenure at PC have graduated. IN THE PAINT: The Blue Hose went into halftime against Clemson having been outscored in the paint by the Tigers PC forced its way inside against the strong Clemson interior in the second half, outscoring the Tigers in the second half to finish just behind what many consider the strongest front line

3 in the ACC in Clemson at in favor of the Tigers in points in the paint. NO PLACE LIKE IT: PC concluded its regular season campaign with a win over Tusculum to finish the season 12-1 at the Templeton Center. If you included the SAC Tournament quarterfinal victory over Newberry the Blue Hose ended the year 13-1 at home. Overall, at the Templeton Center over the last three years the Blue have gone 38-3 at home since the beginning of the basketball season. MAKE IT SIX: The 20 wins obtained by the Blue Hose in the season garnered Nibert his sixth 20-win season in his 18 years at the helm of the Blue Hose. VERY SLY: Travis Sligh finished the Clemson game with a career-high tying eight rebounds. PC LAST TIME OUT: Presbyterian College pulled to within three in the second half but could not get any closer as No. 22 Clemson pulled away for a victory over the Blue Hose before 7,313 on Wednesday evening Littlejohn Coliseum. The Blue Hose fell to 0-6 on the season with the loss, while Clemson stayed perfect with the victory, improving to 4-0. PC Freshman Al Lonzo Coleman continued his strong progression into an inside presence for the Blue Hose against Clemson, scoring a career-best 18 points. Coleman also had four steals and six rebounds in the game. Coleman was 7-for- 12 from the field in the game and a perfect 4-for-4 from the charity stripe. Pat Kiscaden (Oviedo, Fla.) continued his recent string of stellar play in the loss, finishing the game with 16 points. Kiscaden had all four Blue Hose three-pointers in the game. 4 BLUE HOSE RECORD AT HOME DURING NIBERT S TENURE ON THE RADIO: The season will mark the beginning of a new era of radio for PC men s basketball as it will be the first season that new radio flagship Real Radio 860 WLBG will broadcast PC men s basketball. John Avery will provide play-by-play for the majority of the games, while Erskine College Vice President for Advancement and Mayor of Due West, S.C. Ralph Paterson will join Avery for many Blue Hose men's basketball games. When Patterson is not available, PC Director of Sports Information and Game Operations Brian Hand will join Avery to help cover all the Blue Hose action. Avery will be on the call for PC's first ever tilt with the Black Knights. ARMY LAST SEASON: The Black Knights had one of their best seasons in quite some time in the season, claiming 15 wins last year for the first time since the season. The Black Knights concluded the year overall, which included a 4-10 mark in Patriot League action. The Black Knights were 10-4 overall at home last season, including 6-1 against non-conference opponents. ARMY THIS SEASON: Army welcomes Presbyterian College to Christl Arena owning a 1-3 record in the season. The Black Knights have a win over Sacred Heart, but have fallen to Minnesota, Long Island and Cornell. PC is Army's second home game of the season. The Black Knights are 0-1 on the year at Christl after their loss to Long Island on Friday, Nov. 16. ARMY LAST TIME OUT: The Army men s basketball team had its highest offensive output of the season, but it was not enough in a loss to the Cornell Big Red on Tuesday night. Senior guard Jarell Brown led the Black Knights with 30 points, tying his career high. Brown scored 19 of his points in the second half, hitting 5-of-7 shots, including two of his three attempts from behind the arc after halftime. He finished the game 9-of -14 from the field, including 5-of-7 from deep. Brown also hit 7-of-8 foul shots. Sophomore guard Josh Miller posted the exact same stat line of 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the second straight game, tying his career best in each category. ARMY STATISTICALLY: A second-team All-Patriot League selection last season, Brown from his guard position is leading the Black Knights for the second straight season in scoring. Brown is currently averaging 16.3 points per game. The 6-foot-2, 183-pound preseason All-Patriot League selection is shooting 43 percent from the field overall and from three-point range. Brown forms a strong backcourt tandem with Josh Miller, who at 6-foot and 185 pounds is Army's leading rebounder with 21 plucked in the season for an average of 5.3 caroms per contest. Miller is averaging a team second-best 10.8 points-per-game. The duo is two of three Black Knights currently averaging double figures as 6-foot-5 junior forward Kenny Brewer enters Saturday's game against PC averaging 10.5 points per game.

9 HEAD COACH GREGG NIBERT Gregg Nibert, the winningest coach in program history, will lead the PC men s basketball program into NCAA Division I in the season. In his 19th season at the helm of the Blue Hose men s basketball program, Nibert has compiled an overall coaching mark of He broke the all-time wins record during the season in PC s victory over Embry-Riddle University at the Land of Magic Classic Tournament. Nibert is the first and only men s basketball coach in Presbyterian College history to reach the 300-win plateau, an honor he reached during the season after becoming the first to accomplish 200 wins at PC in the season. During his 18-year tenure at Presbyterian College, Nibert has compiled six 20-win seasons. His Blue Hose teams finished in the top four in the South Atlantic Conference (SAC) regular season standings 14 times, winning the SAC Championship twice ( & ) and the Food Lion SAC Tournament title once ( ). He has also been named the SAC Coach-of-the-Year twice for his efforts (1993 and 1997). Nibert is the only coach in the history of PC basketball to lead the institution to two different post-season tournaments; guiding the Blue Hose to the NAIA National Tournament in 1993 and the NCAA Division II Men s Basketball Tournament in 1996, 1997, 2003, and Nibert is also the only coach NIBERT AT A GLANCE PERSONAL Full Name: Gregory Lee Nibert Born: July 20, 1957 Wife: Peggy Harling Nibert Children: Shaun (17), Van (14) in the history of the SAC to coach a squad to the Sweet 16 of the Division II Tournament. Even more impressive, Nibert has seen 51 out of his 51 seniors graduate from Presbyterian during his tenure. In their final year in NCAA Division II in the season, the Blue Hose posted a 20-9 record to finish with two consecutive 20-win seasons. PC concluded SAC regular season play in second with a 12-4 mark and advanced to the Food Lion SAC Men s Basketball Tournament semifinals where they fell to tournament champion and NCAA Division II Elite Eight participant Wingate. In the campaign, PC compiled a overall record including a 10-4 ledger in the South Atlantic Conference, good for a tie at second place in the league. The Blue Hose advanced to the finals of the 2006 Food Lion/SAC Tournament, which earned them an at-large bid to the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional Tournament, where they advanced to the semifinals. In the season, Nibert led the Blue Hose to an overall record and a tie for third place in the SAC regular season. In addition, the Blue Hose advanced to the semifinals of the 2005 Food Lion SAC Tournament. Nibert led the Blue Hose to a program record-tying 27 wins against nine losses in the season. The team compiled a 9-5 mark in SAC play, good for a fourth place finish. In the Food Lion SAC Tournament, PC upset #1 seed Carson-Newman College in the semifinals before falling to the #3 seed Lenoir-Rhyne College. The Blue Hose received an at-large bid to the NCAA Division II South Atlantic Regional and entered the postseason tournament as the #8 seed. In the opening round, PC upset #1 seed and No. 13-ranked Columbus State University, In the semifinals, PC knocked off the #5 seed Shaw University, 77-58, to advance to the Sweet 16. PC s cinderella run through the NCAA Tournament ended at the hands of #2 seed Bowie State University, 67-53, in the region championship game. Nibert s squad posted a 20-7 overall record, which included the program s second SAC regular season title along with its second straight trip to the NCAA Division II national tournament. The Blue Hose received a first-round bye in the NCAA Tournament and finished the season ranked No. 15 in the country. For his efforts, Nibert was named the Coach of the Year for the state of South Carolina, the South Atlantic Conference and NAIA District 26. Well respected among fellow coaches, Nibert has been a member of the National Association of Basketball Coaches for 27 years and has also been a NABC Division II Basketball Congressman. Nibert has also established one of the largest basketball team camps in the country over the course of his time at PC. The Camp of Champions Team Camp is in its 19th year and has attracted thousands of kids to the Presbyterian College campus. Nibert, a 1979 graduate of Marietta College, began his coaching career at Rice University where he served as an assistant coach under Mike Schuler, who would later earn NBA Coach of the Year honors with the Portland Trailblazers. In 1981, Nibert moved with fellow Owl aide Butch Estes to Clinton, S.C., when Estes accepted Presbyterian s head coaching job. The Blue Hose would record a ledger over the next three seasons, including a pair of 20-win campaigns. Nibert then moved to Furman University as a part-time assistant coach under Paladin mentor Gene Davis. One year later, Estes took Davis spot at the helm of Furman s program and Nibert was shifted to the full-time assistant s post, a slot he would man until being named Presbyterian s 17th head basketball coach on April 26, While a student-athlete at Marietta, Nibert, a native of Grove City, Ohio, earned Most Improved Player honors during his junior season and was named the team s Most Valuable Player following his senior campaign. Battling a halftime deficit, the Presbyterian College men s basketball team turned in a stellar second half, only to fall short against Nebraska, in the first foray into NCAA Division I competition for the Blue Hose. After hitting just 23.1 percent from the field in the first half and only 16.7 from behind the arc, Presbyterian hit 50 percent (11-of-22) in the second period, including 10-of-15 from long range. Overall, the Blue Hose shot 5 of 21 from inside the arc, while rallying to shoot 44.4 percent (12-of-27) from 3-point range. Walt Allen (London, KY) paced the Blue Hose with 13 points, as he was one of three Presbyterian players to hit from three. Behind the resilient performance, PC outscored Nebraska in the second half. The Huskers came out strong, building an early 23-5 lead, hitting 9-of-10 from the field to open the game, including 5-of-6 from behind the arc in the first eight minutes of the contest. A late 9-0 run and a Ryan Anderson 3-pointer at the buzzer gave Nebraska a commanding halftime lead. Five 3-pointers to begin the first six minutes of the second half kept Presbyterian even with the Huskers, while it took the Blue Hose just 7:38 to score more points in the second half than it did in the first. Radford erased an 11-point PC first half lead to earn a win over the Presbyterian College Blue Hose on Wednesday evening at the Dedmon Center. PC was led in the loss by Walt Allen (London, Ky.), Pierre Miller (Warner Robbins, Ga.) and Pat Kiscaden (Oviedo, Fla.), who all finished the loss with a team-high nine points. All three of them scored all of their points from three-point range as Allen was 3-for-4 for the night beyond the arc and Miller was 3-for-7 in the game on his three-point attempts. Kiscaden was 3-for-5 from beyond the three-point line in the loss to Radford. Overall, the Blue Hose had eight different players score in the game. Freshman Al Lonzo Coleman (Charlotte, N.C.) had a career-high seven points in the contest, scoring his first career points against Radford. Coleman obtained the majority of his points from the charity stripe as he was 5-for-8 from the free throw line. Coleman also had five rebounds in the game to finish his first two Blue Hose games with 11 boards to his credit. The Laurel, Md. native finished just one point away from tying his career-high with a game-high 21 points in the contest. McDuffy was 5-for-9 from the field in the game. The Highlanders Amir Johnson (Pittsburgh, Pa.) finished with a double-double with 11 points and a career-best 10 assists. Radford shot 50 percent from the field in the win, while the Blue Hose finished the game shooting 43.2 percent. It was a tale of two halves as PC shot 57.9 percent from the field in the first half, while the Highlanders shot just 40 percent in the first half. The tide changed in the second half with PC shooting just 27.8 percent, while Radford shot at a 63 percent clip in the final stanza. Presbyterian College had three players finish in double figures, but the Blue Hose fell to New Mexico on Friday evening before 11, 716 fans at The Pit. Pat Kiscaden (Oviedo, Fla.) led the Blue Hose cause in the game, coming off the bench to score a team-high 18 points. Kiscaden scored all of his points from beyond the arc as he was 6-for-9 from three-point range in the game. Ryan Lamb (Hiram, Ga.) finished the game with a career-high 13 total points. Lamb was perfect in the contest, finishing his efforts on the day 3-for-3 from three-point range and 4-for-4 overall. Freshman Al Lonzo Coleman (Charlotte, N.C.) finished with a career-high 12 points to go along with his four steals and career-high seven rebounds. The Blue Hose center ended the New Mexico game with nine steals in his last two games after securing a career-best five against Radford on Wednesday. Kiscaden now has 12 three-pointers in the first two games of the three-day tournament as he also hit six in the loss the night before to New Mexico. His 27 points tied the career high that he set in a win over Francis Marion in the season. Kiscaden was one of three Blue Hose in the contest to record double figures as Travis Sligh (Columbia, S.C.) and Al Lonzo Coleman (Charlotte, N.C.) also finished their efforts on the afternoon in double digits. Sligh tied his career-high with 18 points in the LMU game. Sligh was a perfect 6-for-6 from the field in the game, including 3-for-3 on his three-point attempts. Sligh s perfect night tied for his best individual performance as a Blue Hose as he also scored 18 in a loss to Winthrop last season. Sligh was also a perfect 6-for-6 in that particular game. Coleman for the third consecutive game set a career high in scoring. The freshman scored 15 points, acquired a career-high tying seven rebounds and blocked a personal-best two shots. PC freshman Josh Johnson (Hendersonville, Tenn.) had a career-best two steals in the game. LMU was led by Orlando Johnson, who scored a career high 23 points in the win for the Lions. He was one of three Lions in double digits as Marko Deric (13) and Corey Counts (10) also scored 10 or more for LMU. Overall, PC finished the game shooting 45.3 percent from the field, while LMU shot 48.5 percent from the field in the contest. The Blue Hose stroked the three-point shot exponentially better in the second and final stanza to finish the game shooting 41.7 percent from beyond the arc. The Blue Hose were 18-for-25 (72 percent) from the free throw line, while LMU was 10-for-18 (55.6 percent) from the charity stripe.
