Union in the NAIA National Tournament (6-11,.353): 11 appearances (1958, 1992, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007) The Union Bulldogs are coming off their first loss in their last six games as they fell to Freed-Hardeman on Saturday. Union posted their second lowest shooting percentage of the season (36-perecent) from the field in the loss. The lowest output was a loss to McKendree on November 29 when Union posted 34-percent shooting from the field. Union still remains one of four teams in the TranSouth with just one loss. Union sits at 4-1 along with Cumberland, who Union has defeated this season. Freed-Hardeman sits at 5-1, while Trevecca Nazarene is 3-1. Union has 11 TranSouth games remaining this season. Tonight s game versus Blue Mountain is the final home game for Union until February 14. Saturday, Union will head to Mayfield, Ky. to play Mid-Continent University. That will start a fivegame road stretch for the Union that will see them play the Cougars, Bethel (Tenn.), Lyon (Ark.), Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.), and Cumberland (Tenn.). Union s Matt Neaville and Brian Lake continue to post nationally recognized numbers. Neaville ranked No. 2 in the NAIA with 4.1 made three pointers per game and No. 5 with 88-percent free throw shooting. Lake ranks No. 5 in the NAIA with 9.4 rebounds per game. Blue Mountain is win-less in the conference but is coming off a close loss at Lyon, on Saturday. Blue Mountain, as a team, ranks No. 6 in the NAIA with 45 rebounds per game and No. 10 with 8.5 made three pointers per game. Feb. 28, With his first made three pointer in the second game with Blue Mountain last season, Neaville set a new Union record for three pointers made in season. He finished the year with a Union record, 153 made three pointers. Neaville also set a new Union record with 11 made three pointers in the game. He passed the old record, of 10 three pointers in a game held by himself and former Bulldog, Chima Abakwue. Opponent Information...
