1 Aug. 1, 2018 MGC eshooter HAPPY BIRTHDAY MGC!!! As noted in a prior MGC eshooter, this is the 50 th birthday for MGC in its present location. Now, while the Minneapolis Gun Club was incorporated in 1875, it has had many homes over the years but from what I ve been able to document, the present location has been the longest since it was started. So, we re going to have a party on August 25 th. C mon out between noon and 4 PM to have a sandwich, a piece of cake and celebrate the great facility we have Judicial Rd, Prior Lake, MN 55372,

2 Summer Leagues The shoot-offs for the Sumer Leagues Champion s is under way. The shoot-off ladders are posted on the website, so you can check on who your team is shooting against and it shows the target totals for the teams. Also listed are the top shooters in each venue. Good luck to everyone!!! The week of August 14th MGC will be hosting the end of the summer league party, serving food Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. 3 MGC Hot Shots At MGC we have some OUTSTANDING clay target busting individuals. Eric Gunderson. Eric is one of our highly prized scorers, he s the one in the floppy hat. When not at MGC he s shooting ATA Trap. At the 2018 MN State Trapshoot earlier this month he let his presence known by shooting a 99 in the Memorial Handicap, and a few days later posting a 98 in the Championship Handicap. Great shooting Eric. Woody Glaizer. Woody is a senior this fall at New Prague High School and can be seen shooting all the venues MGC has to offer, and he does very well at all of them. In June, at MGC, Woody was participating in the MN High School League Championship Tournament. His school team was there and in the Team Event in the morning, Woody broke all 100 targets. Quite an accomplishment, one many trap shooters never get done. In the Judicial Rd, Prior Lake, MN 55372,

4 Individual Event held that afternoon, Woody again, broke all 100 targets. Yup, that s 200 straight, in the same day. I would be willing to be that there hasn t been 200 straight trap targets shot at MGC in probably 20 years. Way to go Woody. Ben Dietz. Ben, another product of the high school league and also from New Prague has done very well this summer. Ben also is one of the I ll shoot whatever clay target you throw kind of guy. Earlier this spring he achieved his Grand Slam in ATA Trap. What you need to do to get into this Club is shoot 200 straight 16 yd. targets, 100 straight trap Doubles targets, and, probably the hardest of them all, 100 straight Handicap targets.from the 27 yd. line. Congrats Ben. After the Grand American Trap Tournament Ben will be participating in the MN State Skeet Championship. One more Charlie Buehler. Charlie is one of our league shooters and just the other day, after posting 98 s and 99 s in both practice and registered Judicial Rd, Prior Lake, MN 55372,

shooting, he DID IT. Charlie shot his first 100 straight 16 yd. targets. Nice job Charlie, the 2 nd one will be easier. Vintage Gun Shoot 2018 The date for the Vintage Gun Shoot is August 25th.

This is the shoot where the gun has to be 1964 or older to participate and there some really, really nice guns that are used for this shoot. We have events in Trap, Skeet, 5 Stand and classes for Side by Sides, Pump Guns, Auto s, Single Minneapolis Gun Club Vintage Gun Shoot August 25, 2018 All guns must be pre-1964 Five (5) categories of guns Autos Pumps Side by side Single Barrel Trap Cutts Compensators* There will be (3) contests: 50 Trap targets 50 Skeet targets 50 Sporties There will be one category winner in each contest plus one HOA winner. Trophies will be awarded *Cutts Class can be a later gun but must be original Lymann Cutts. Barrel Traps and the hotly contested Cutts Class.
