Maric also had 10 double-doubles (a league-high seven in Big 12 games), the most of any conference returnee. NOTEBOOK Maric had 251 rebounds in , the second-highest total by a Nebraska sophomore in school history. The mark was 11th overall on the NU single-season chart. New head coach Doc Sadler is averaging 24 wins in seven seasons as a head coach, with the same average in two years at Division I. It marked just the second time in league history (1998), the Huskers had accomplished the feat. The two tourney victories matched NU s total for the previous nine events. Sophomore guard Jamel White connected on 80.2 percent (69-of- 86) of his free throws last season, tops among Cornhusker returning regulars.
