JONES NAMED TO U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS WOMEN S BASKETBALL NATIONAL TEAM Over the summer, Taylor Jones was selected to the U.S. Virin Islands Women s Basketball National Team which competed at the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Centrobasket Championship, July -, in the Saint Thomas Virin Islands. BIG SHOES TO FILL The 7-8 team will have to account or the loss o seniors Hannah Little and Nicole Dodd. Little sined a contract to play proessional basketball internationally or Athinakikos Basketball Club which is a member o the Greek A Leaue. Under the direction o head coach Gavrilos Kaloeropoulos, Athinakikos inished runner-up in the 7 A Playo Finals. Little was named Horizon Leaue Deensive Player o the Year, First Team All-Leaue and was an All-Deensive Team selection ater bein the only player in the leaue to averae a double-double at. points-per-ame and. rebounds-per-ame. Her team-leadin double-doubles broke the all-time sinle-season school record in the Division I era passin the previous mark o held by Sarah Judd (-) and Tamika Bates (998-99). NEW STAFF ADDITIONS Crystal Davis joined the Oakland women s basketball sta as the Director o Basketball Operations in September.
