VANCE HS Nickname is Moe - short version of her name - but states that Kellie calls her Mo-zambique because she says Dawson never tires when running like the famed marathon runners Says she chose her jersey number because during AAU competition, that particular jersey was the only one that would fit properly -- and the number just stuck with her Her favorite sport other than basketball is soccer -- and if she weren t on the hardwood, she d play soccer Since coming to Western, she has learned that time is very valuable and also how to manage her money on her CatCard (meal plan) Notes: Dawson had the distinction during her freshman season as the defensive stopper, often earning the duty of guarding the opposition s top guard... Prior to her illness during the season, Dawson was averaging double-digit scoring on four occasions... Was just one of two true freshmen to earn the starting nod last season... 6 35 - Jessika Johnson 6-2 FORWARD SOPHOMORE RIVERDALE, GA RIVERDALE HS Nickname is Snoop - because her personality is laid back and her tall, slender figure resembles the famous rap artist, Snoop Dogg Johnson says that her fear of bugs is something interesting that most people do not know about her States that if she could bring one thing from home, she would bring her bed because it s big, warm, and very comfortable To get ready for a game, she generally listens to music and gets her mind focused on the game Notes: One of the more athletic of the Lady Catamount post players, Johnson is a two-sport athlete who also does the high jump event for the Western Carolina track and field team...
