Director of Media Relations Office Phone Office Fax: Athletics Website THIS WEEK IN PANTHER WRESTLING Jan. 16: Jan. 17: UNI at Northern Colorado (Greeley, Colo.), 8 p.m. UNI at Air Force (Colorado Springs, Colo.), 8:30 p.m. The University of Northern Iowa wrestling squad will take to the road this weekend as the Panthers head into the Western Wrestling Conference dual season. The Panthers will take on Northern Colorado on Friday at 8 p.m. (Central) in Greeley, Colo. UNI will then travel to the Air Force Academy for a dual at 8:30 p.m. Saturday in Colorado Springs, Colo. PANTHER POINTS UNI LOOKS TO KEEP PERFECT WWC RECORD UNI will look to extend its all-time record of 8-0 in Western Wrestling Conference dual action this Friday and Saturday against Northern Colorado and Air Force. UNI went 4-0 in dual competition in and then followed it up with another 4-0 mark in the conference season. Friday s meeting with Northern Colorado will be the fourth between the Panthers and Bears on the mat. UNI owns a 3-0 all-time record against UNC. UNI won last year s meeting in Cedar Falls, UNI and Air Force will be meeting for the third time overall and first time as conference members. Air Force was awarded a criteria victory in the season after the teams finished tied, UNI secured a 40-6 win over the Falcons in the season. PANTHER WRESTLING ON THE RADIO/INTERNET The University of Northern Iowa wrestling matches will be broadcast this season on KWAY (Y99.3-FM, Waverly). Benjamin Hupke will have the holdby-hold coverage. The wrestling action can also be heard live on the Internet through UNI Panthers GAMEDAY Online, which can be accessed at www. unipanthers.com for a nominal fee. BRANTLEY SURGES TO TEAM LEAD Redshirt freshman heavyweight Christian Brantley (Homewood, Ill./Mount Carmel HS) holds the team lead in victories this season with 20. Brantley, who is ranked No. 16 in the nation at heavyweight by InterMat, notched a pair of wins this past weekend at the National Duals as he scored wins over opponents from Ohio State and Michigan. 2 HEAD COACH BRAD PENRITH Record at UNI: th Season Brad Penrith is in his ninth season at the helm of the University of Northern Iowa wrestling program. Penrith s squad boasts of a returning All-American in the form of 165-pounder Moza Fay. Penrith guided the Panthers to a 20th-place finish at the 2008 NCAA Wrestling Championships. UNI qualified nine wrestlers to the championship meet after winning its 23rd straight regional crown. UNI also won its second straight regular season Western Wrestling Conference title with a perfect 4-0 mark. UNI is 8-0 all-time in WWC duals. He has coached both of the WWC Wrestlers of the Year (Nick Baima in , Moza Fay in ) and both of the WWC Freshmen of the Year (Kyle Anson in , Nick Pickerell in ). Penrith was named the inaugural WWC Coach of the Year in A former University of Iowa All-American and national champion, Penrith was named head coach on June 21, 2000, becoming only the ninth wrestling coach in the program s history. In his first eight seasons at the helm, he has a record of and has sent 62 wrestlers to the NCAA National Championships. During his three seasons as an assistant coach, the Panthers posted their first winning dual record in six years in the 2000 season with a record of and placed 11th at the NCAA Championships. Prior to coming to UNI, he spent five seasons as an assistant at Nebraska, coaching the Huskers lighter weights. He also served a one-year stint as an assistant at Boise State in , spent two seasons at Arizona State from , and was a graduate assistant at Iowa. Athletically, Penrith s credentials are outstanding. He won the 126-pound national championship at Iowa in 1986 as a sophomore, then placed second at 126 in 1987 and He was a three-time Big Ten champ for the Hawkeyes and was named Outstanding Wrestler at the conference meet in A 1988 Iowa graduate, Penrith also made his mark at the international level before retiring in He captured a Silver Medal at the 1991 World Championships, was the Gold Medalist at the Pan American Games in 1991 and won the title at the Pan American Games Championship in Penrith has many accomplishments internationally, including placing third at the 1994 Goodwill Games, becoming a two-time Sunkist Open champion, taking the Roger Coulon title in France in 1992 and 96, being a member of the 1989 U.S. World Team, and taking third at the World Cup in 1990 and Closer to home, he placed third at the 1996 Olympic Team Trials, won the U.S. Nationals three times--1989, 91 and 93 and was second at the 92 Olympic wrestle-off. A native of Windsor, N.Y, Penrith was a four-time state placewinner in high school, including winning the state title as a sophomore in He was named the Outstanding Greco-Roman Wrestler at the 1983 Junior Nationals. He and his wife, Laura, have two sons, Gabriel (10) and Jacob (8), and a daughter, Grace Marie (5). 2 UNI WRESTLING Brantley tallied a fall over Ohio State s Corey Morrison, the No. 16- ranked heavyweight by InterMat, at the 6:51 mark of their match in the first round of the National Duals. Brantley finished off the Panthers appearance in the National Duals with a thrilling 3-1 sudden victory over Michigan s Ed Phillips. TRENT S STIFF COMPETITION UNI redshirt freshman 141-pound Trent Washington (Omaha, Neb./Boys Town HS) has only seen action in 10 matches this season but many of those matches have come against some of the best 141-pounders in the nation. Washington s biggest win of the season came against Midlands champ Zach Tanelli. Washington owns a fall over Wisconsin s No. 5-ranked Tanelli. Washington scored the pin at the 5:38 mark of his match with Tanelli in a dual on Dec. 13. Tanelli went on to win the 141-pound Midlands title on Dec. 30. This past weekend at the National Duals, Washington matched up against defending national champion J Jaggers of Ohio State and No. 4- ranked Kellen Russell of Michigan. Washington dropped a 4-3 decision to Jaggers, before he was edged out by a 4-2 count by Russell. Fay improved his collegiate wrestling mark to with the victory and it moved him past Jeff Weatherman ( ) on the chart. Next on the list is No. 12 Joe Gormally, who secured 111 wins from FAY FIFTH ON FALLS LIST Senior Moza Fay is in fifth place on the Panthers all-time falls list with 32 career pins. Kirk Myers ( ) holds the Panthers all-time pins record with 61. UNI IN NATIONAL RANKINGS The Panther wrestling team is ranked as high as No. 21 in the latest national ran kings. RevWrestling.com has UNI pegged at No. 21 in its latest rankings. RevWrestling predicts UNI will score 18.0 points at nationals. 3 tied for No. 22 in the nation with Kent State. The Wrestling Report projects UNI at No. 23 with 22.0 points at nationals. W.I.N. Magazine projects UNI to score 13.5 points and place 23rd at the national tournament. UNI ON SHORT END VS. OHIO STATE, MICHIGAN AT DUALS UNI came up on the short end of a pair of scores at the 2009 NWCA/Cliff Keen National Duals in the UNI-Dome. No. 6- ranked Ohio State scored a victory over the Panthers, while No. 17-ranked Michigan tallied a triumph. Against the Buckeyes, the Panthers won three of the final four matches that were contested, including a fall at heavyweight by redshirt freshman Christian Brantley. Jarion Beets scored a 6-4 decision over the Buckeyes David Rella at 174 pounds to put the Panthers on the board. Andrew Anderson then added a 9-6 victory at 197 pounds over OSU s Cody Gardner. Brantley then finished the dual with a fall at the 6:51 mark over OSU s Corey Morrison. Against the Wolverines, the Panthers also secured three individual victories from Josh Baldridge (133 lbs.), Moza Fay (165 lbs.) and Brantley (285 lbs.). PANTHERS SCORE TWO DUAL WINS IN CLEVELAND The University of Northern Iowa wrestling squad picked up a pair of dual wins Jan. 3 with triumphs over Buffalo (28-6) and Cleveland State (32-10) to run its dual win streak to four in a row. 3 UNI WRESTLING Head coach Brad Penrith said he was pleased with his team s effort in earning the two victories. We performed well and it was a good challenge to have back-to-back duals, Penrith said. It was nice to get some new guys in there and get those guys some wins. A couple of the new guys Penrith referred to really aren t new to the Panther program as both senior Alex Dolly (184 lbs.) and junior Brett Robbins (149 lbs.) returned to the mat for the first time this season. Dolly was wrestling for the first time since earning a sixth year of eligibility from the NCAA, while Robbins was wrestling for the first time in nearly two years after elbow surgery and a knee injury sidelined him. Dolly picked up a pair of dual wins as he scored a 7-2 victory over Buffalo s Mickey Moran and a then notched a 22-6 technical fall over Cleveland State s Derek Cummins. Robbins win came at 149 pounds against Cleveland State when he secured a 7-1 victory over the Vikings Antonio Nicholson. Robbins was impressive in his debut as the only point he allowed was a third period escape after he had already steadied himself with a 6-0 lead. UNI senior Moza Fay recorded a pair of falls on the day at 165 pounds to improve to 16-1 on the season. Fay scored a first-period fall over Buffalo s Ron Majerus at the 1:48 mark. Fay then came back with a second-period pin of Cleveland State s Rob Michaels at the 4:52 mark of the second dual. Sophomore Caleb Flores (125 lbs.) Flores scored a 6-3 win over Buffalo s Dan Bishop, but then had to rally late against Cleveland State s Jordan Keller. Keller led 1-0 in the final seconds before Flores was able to score a takedown and claim the 2-1 win. Sophomore Trevor Kittleson (157 lbs.) earned two dual wins. Kittleson scored a 15-2 major decision over Buffalo s John-Martin Cannon and followed it up with a 10-5 decision over Cleveland State s Carey Carlo. UNI AMONG THE ELITE AT MID- LANDS UNI was one of only seven teams to have at least four place finishers at the 2008 Midlands. Iowa (8), Iowa State (8), Missouri (8), Central Michigan (5), UNI (4), Purdue (4) and Wisconsin (4) were the only schools to have at least four top-eight finishers. UNI finished 12th in the team standings following a strong showing on day two of the event. UNI saw Moza Fay place third at 165 pounds, while Charlie Ettelson (149), Tyson Reiner (157) and Christian Brantley (285) all placed eighth in their respective weight classes. FAY BOUNCES BACK Senior Moza Fay placed third at the 2008 Midlands despite dropping his first match of the season and was named the Western Wrestling Conference s Wrestler of the Week for the second time this season. However, after dropping a 14-8 decision to freshman Andrew Howe (Wisconsin), Fay responded by winning four straight matches, including a rematch with Howe in the third-place match. Fay dispatched Howe in the third-place match by a 9-3 count. Fay s second-day effort included wins over No. 6-seeded Trevor Stewart (Central Michigan), No. 5-seeded Luke Manuel (Purdue), No. 2-seeded Nick Marable (Missouri) and No. 8-seeded Howe. Head coach Brad Penrith summed up what he thought of Fay on the second day of Midlands by saying, Moza wrestled like an animal. His 7-1 tournament performance improved his season mark to BRANTLEY BURSTS THROUGH Redshirt freshman Christian Brantley could be considered the surprise of the

4 Panther wrestlers medal stand finishers at this year s Midlands. Brantley entered the second day with a match against No. 3-seeded Kyle Massey (Wisconsin), but Brantley was not intimidated and scored a 5-2 win over the Badgers grappler. Brantley then lost a hard-fought 3-1 decision to No. 1-seeded David Zabriskie (Iowa State) to move the Panther heavyweight into the seventh-place match. Brantley locked horns with Mike Tamillow (Wildcat Wrestling Club) and suffered a 9-5 loss to settle for eighth place. UNI STOPS GEORGE MASON, Senior Andrew Anderson led the University of Northern Iowa wrestling team to a victory at George Mason. Anderson knocked off previously undefeated and No. 6-ranked Cayle Byers at 197 pounds, 3-2. The Panthers moved to 2-2 on the season with its second win in as many days in the state of Virginia. PANTHERS ROLL PAST OLD DOMINION, The University of Northern Iowa wrestling squad won seven of eight contested dual matches en route to a win at No. 21-ranked Old Dominion. The Panthers improved to 1-2 on the season with the victory in the Convocation Center. We wrestled really well for getting in at 2 a.m. with all the weather-related travel troubles we had, head coach Brad Penrith said. Josh Baldridge s win at 133 was the big win as he was trailing in his match but got the fall late for a big turnaround. You also have to give credit to Scott Hazen for getting a win in the first match of the day at that helped turn the momentum our way early. BADGERS SCORE 36-9 WIN OVER PANTHERS The University of Northern Iowa wrestling team fell to the Wisconsin Badgers in dual action on Saturday, The Panthers received wins from 133-pounder Josh Bald ridge and 141-pounder Trent Washington. Baldridge scored a 5-1 win over the Badgers Tom Kelliher at 133 lbs. Washington scored a fall over Wisconsin s No. 14-ranked Zach Tanelli as the 5:38 mark of their 141-pound bout. IOWA FENDS OFF UNI, The University of Northern Iowa wrestling 4 UNI WRESTLING team dropped a decision to the No. 1-ranked University of Iowa Hawkeyes on Dec. 11 in the McLeod Center. The Panthers won four matches, while the Hawkeyes scored six victories in front of 2,315 fans. UNI tallied victories from heavyweight Christian Brantley, 157-pounder Tyson Reiner, 165-pounder Moza Fay and 197-pounder Andrew Anderson. Brantley tallied a 6-2 victory over Dan Erekson. Brantley gave up the first takedown of the match but battled back to knot it at 2-2 following two periods. Brantley took his first lead of the match with an escape and a penalty point with 1:42 left. Brantley then clinched the win with a takedown with only 18 seconds left in the match. Reiner scored three takedowns en route to an 8-2 victory over Matt Ballweg. The match of the evening occurred at 165 when Fay hung on for a 3-2 win over Ryan Morningstar. Fay improved to 6-0 on the season as he earned all three of his points in the second period. Fay notched an escape and then a takedown with only five seconds left in the second to take a 3-2 lead. Fay then battled and kept Morningstar at bay in the third period. Morningstar was in on a leg as time expired but no points were awarded by referee Mike Allen. Anderson finished off the night with a 10-5 win at 197 pounds over Iowa s Rick Loera. Anderson took a 2-1 lead after one period and built upon it in the second as he scored a takedown and an escape. Anderson added two more takedowns in the third and tallied a riding time point for the five-point win. FAY NAMED WWC WRESTLER OF THE WEEK University of Northern Iowa senior 165- pounder Moza Fay (Anamosa, Iowa/ Anamosa HS) was named the Western Wrestling Conference s Wrestler of the Week Dec. 15. Fay, the nation s No. 2-ranked 165- pounder, improved to 6-0 on the season with a 3-2 win over No. 4-ranked Ryan Morningstar (Iowa) in the Panthers dual with the Hawkeyes. Fay notched an escape and then a takedown with only five seconds left in the second period to take a 3-2 lead. Fay kept Morningstar at bay in the third period and was able to fend off several shots at the end of the match to secure the victory. BRANTLEY WINS UNI OPEN HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE Redshirt freshman heavyweight Christian Brantley captured his first UNI Open title in the UNI-Dome as he downed Iowa State s Eric Thompson in the finals, 8-7. Brantley scored a late takedown and then held on as Thompson tried for an escape in the final seconds. The victory marked his fourth of the day. Three Panthers earned runner-up finishes. Sophomore Caleb Flores took second in the 125-pound weight class. Alec Hoffman, a freshman, finished second at 141 pounds. Senior Andrew Anderson ended his day in second place at 197 pounds. Freshman David Bonin (165 lbs.) secured a third-place finish, while a pair of other Panthers, including Cruse Aarhus (125 lbs.) and Scott Hazen (174 lbs.) placed fourth. UNI had two fifth-place finishers in Grant Sutter (125 lbs.) and Jamal Lawrence (157 lbs.). FAY SCORED 13-9 WIN AT ALL- STAR MEET University of Northern Iowa senior wrestler Moza Fay (Anamosa, Iowa) scored a 13-9 exhibition win over Ohio State s Colt Sponseller at the 2008 NWCA All-Star Meet on Nov. 24 in St. John Arena on the Ohio State campus. UNI head coach Brad Penrith said he was pleased with Fay s effort in the match. Moza rode him hard and it kind of tired Moza out a little bit, Penrith said. It was Moza s first real one-hour weighin of the year so it s understandable that he would get tired. Moza controlled the match. It was great match to see where he is at this of year. Fay was the first Panther to take part in the NWCA All-Star Classic since three UNI wrestlers competed in Eric Hauan (174 lbs.), Dylan Long (141 lbs.) and Sean Stender (197 lbs.) saw action in at the 2004 NWCA All-Star Classic. ETTELSON CLAIMS 149-POUND TITLE AT KAUFMAN-BRAND Junior Charlie Ettelson won the 149- pound Elite Division title and seven other University of Northern Iowa wrestlers earned top-five finishes at the Kaufman- Brand Open on Nov. 22 in the Sapp Fieldhouse on the University of Nebraska- Omaha s campus. Ettelson scored a 7-3 win over fellow

5 teammate Trevor Kittleson in the finals of the 149-pound Elite bracket. Ettelson posted a perfect 4-0 record on the day that included a pair of falls in his first two matches. Kittleson went 3-1 and earned his victories with a technical fall, a fall and a major decision. Senior Andrew Anderson notched a second-place effort in the 197-pound Elite bracket. Sophomore Jarion Beets (174 lbs.) and redshirt freshman Christian Brantley (285 lbs.) each earned third-place finishes in their respective brackets. I was really pleased with how Jarion and Christian bounced back from tough losses in their semifinals and to get third place, head coach Brad Penrith said. It s hard to bounce back when you have those losses but the way they wrestled the rest of the day really showed me something. Sophomore Caleb Flores notched a fourth-place finish in the 125-pound Elite bracket, while wrestling unattached junior Terrance Young took fifth-place honors in the same bracket. True freshman David Bonin notched a third-place finish in the 165-pound Amateur bracket. KITTLESON, BONIN PLACE AT HAROLD NICHOLS OPEN Sophomore Trevor Kittleson and freshman David Bonin led the University of Northern Iowa wrestling effort at the 2008 Harold Nichols Cyclone Open on Saturday. Head coach Brad Penrith sent eight wrestlers to the event and Kittleson was able to place third at 149 pounds and Bonin notched a fifth-place finish at 165 pounds. Kittleson battled back through the wrestlebacks and won six of his seven matches in the consolation bracket. Bonin posted a 5-2 mark on the day. UNI CROWNS NINE CHAMPS AT LORAS OPEN UNI captured nine individual first-place finishes at the Loras Open in the Panthers season opener. Not only did the Panthers win nine weight classes, they racked up four second- and third-place honors. UNI s champions included Terrance Young (125 lbs.), Josh Baldridge (133 lbs.), Trent Washington (141 lbs.), Charlie Ettelson (149 lbs.), Tyson Reiner (157 lbs.), Moza Fay (165 lbs.), Jarion Beets (174 lbs.), Andrew Anderson (197 lbs.) 5 UNI WRESTLING and Christian Brantley (285 lbs.). The Panthers went one-two in four close matches. Caleb Flores took second in the 125- pound match. Alec Hoffman (141 lbs.), Jamal Lawrence (149 lbs.), and David Bonin (165 lbs.) also took second-place honors in their weight classes. The team rounded out its success with four third-place finishes including Grant Sutter (133 lbs.), Cole Zempel (149 lbs.), Trevor Kittleson (157 lbs.) and Scott Hazen (174 lbs.). The freshmen trio of Adam Hight (125 lbs.), Cody Delagardelle (133 lbs.) and Blayne Beale (285 lbs.) took fourth, fourth and fifth place respectively in their matches. UNI head coach Brad Penrith was pleased with the team s success at the Loras Open. We won every weight class where we were represented, Penrith said. I m very pleased with how we wrestled as a whole. We hit some moves that we were supposed to and helped build our confidence for our next competition. ANDERSON NAMED WWC WRES- TLER OF THE WEEK University of Northern Iowa 197-pound senior Andrew Anderson was named the Western Wrestling Conference s Wrestler of the Week (Nov. 11). Anderson began his season by winning all three matches at the Loras Open and claimed the 197-pound championship. Anderson (Sioux City, Iowa/East HS) secured two major decisions and a technical fall in beginning his senior season with three victories. Anderson notched a 12-2 major decision over Loras Alex Grafft. Anderson then netted a 20-4 technical fall over Triton Junior College s Steve Catalan. Anderson won the title with a 20-8 major decision over Wisconsin-Platteville s Matt Scott. WRESTLE-OFF RESULTS The University of Northern Iowa wrestling team opened its season at the West Gym (Nov. 1) with its annual intrasquad wrestle-offs. Panther head coach Brad Penrith was happy with his team s turnout for the day and the talent it shows for the upcoming season. It s a great way for us to see that we still have some things we need to work on. We obviously have a lot of talent but there are still some things we need to fine tune. Standout senior Moza Fay (Anamosa, Iowa/Anamosa) continued his career success, winning in a major decision over freshman David Bonin (Broussard, La./ Comeaux) at 165 pounds, 16-3 Moza was on the attack, he was very physical and continued to look to score in all areas, Penrith said. He realizes that he still has some things to work on, but we like where he is at this time of the year. In a 141-pound match, freshman Alec Hoffman (Davenport, Iowa/Davenport North) closed out a 10-7 decision over redshirt freshman Trent Washington (Omaha, Neb./Boys Town). Alec wrestled very well today, said Penrith. He took on someone who was very skilled and hit him in a five-point move. In a heavyweight match, redshirt freshman Christian Brantley (Homewood, Ill./Mount Carmel) topped freshman Blayne Beale (Davenport, Iowa/Davenport West) in a major decision, Christian came out and wrestled a full match, said Penrith. Inking to wrestle for the Panthers starting in are Jake Demmon (Ottumwa, Iowa/Eddyville-Blakesburg HS), Joe Johnson (Swea City, Iowa/Algona HS/Iowa Central CC), Joey Lazor (McDonough, Ga./Union Grove HS), Ryan Loder (Granite Bay, Calif./Granite Bay HS), Aaron Senzee (Kearney, Mo./Kearney HS/St. Louis-Meramec CC) and Brice Wolf (Greeley, Colo./Greeley Central HS). Demmon (125/133 lbs.) captured a state title in 2008 for Eddyville-Blakesburg High School as he pinned his way through the 119-pound weight class. Demmon s title capped a perfect junior season at He was a freestyle regional runner-up and earned All-America honors with a seventh-place finish at Junior Nationals. In 2007, he placed third in the state tournament with a mark of 45-3 at 119 pounds. He was a sectional and regional champ in Demmon also captured the 2007 freestyle state championship. As a freshman, he qualified for state in the 112-pound weight class with a 36-5 record. Demmon is a three-time academic all-district and first-team all-district honoree. Demmon has compiled a three-year prep record of Demmon is ranked fifth in the nation in his weight class in freestyle wrestling by W.I.N. Magazine. We are extremely happy to have Jake sign with us, Penrith said. He is one of the finest wrestlers in the state. He is very hard-nosed, wrestles hard and has a gas tank. He loves the sport. Johnson (184/197 lbs.) is ranked No. 2 in the nation at 184 pounds going into his sophomore season at Iowa Central Community College. Johnson placed fourth at last year s NJCAA national meet. Johnson was a three-time state 6 UNI WRESTLING placer at Algona High School. Johnson placed fourth in the state as a senior at 189 pounds after posting a 34-2 record. He placed fourth in the state as a junior at 171 pounds. He tallied a fifth-place finish at 171 pounds at the 2005 state tournament. Johnson posted a prep record of He was a two-time first-team all-state linebacker in high school. Joe is very discipline, motivated, and hasn t even come close to reaching his full potential, Penrith said. He may be our diamond in the rough this year. I m excited to add another quality Iowa high school wrestler to our program. Lazor (133/141 lbs.) recently placed third in the nation at the Super 32s. He won the 130-pound Class AAAAA state championship in Georgia as a junior with a perfect 45-0 record. Lazor has compiled a prep record of heading into his senior season. He placed second in the state as a sophomore in the 119-pound weight class and also placed fourth in the state as a freshman at 103 pounds. Lazor placed third at the 2008 Brute Adidas Nationals. He is ranked as the 12th-best senior in the nation in his weight class by W.I.N. Magazine. Joey puts a lot of high goals on himself, Penrith said. He has a very positive attitude and strong work ethic both in the classroom and on the mat. He has a natural feel on the mat, comes out on top a lot. Loder (184 lbs.) is the 90th-ranked overall recruit in the nation by InterMat. He is ranked as the 6th-best senior recruit in his weight class by W.I.N. Magazine. He is ranked as the ninth-best senior recruit in his weight class by InterMat. Loder is a four-time high school All- American and he placed sixth in the state tournament as junior. Loder placed in the top-12 in the state of California as a sophomore. He placed third at Cadets in 2007 and sixth at Juniors in He has compiled a high school record of heading into his senior season. We feel Ryan will be an excellent all-around wrestler for us, Penrith said. He is very focused, has a great attitude and we feel his potential is unlimited. Senzee (141 lbs.) won four state titles in Missouri as a prep wrestler at Kearney High School. Senzee then captured a junior college national title as a freshman at St. Louis-Meramec Community College with a record of Senzee won the 103-pound Class 2 Missouri state title as a freshman. He won the 119-pound Class 3 title as a sophomore. Senzee captured the 135-pound Class 3 state crown as a junior with a perfect 48-0 record. He capped his high school career with his fourth state title (140-pound Class 3) with a 47-1 mark. Senzee tallied an overall prep record of and was a two-time Missouri Class 3 State Wrestler of the Year. He was a four-time all-conference and all-metro pick. Senzee was selected as a Senior High School All-American by Wrestling USA magazine in He was a twotime USA Wrestling Cadet All-American as well. Aaron is a wrestler who will bring some us some depth at the 141 and 149 weight classes, Penrith said. We feel he will fit in well with our current team and will add to the chemistry. Aaron is easy going but is a very hard worker. All six of our signees have aspirations of being NCAA champions and helping take our program to the next level. Wolf (174 lbs.) is the 46th-ranked overall recruit in the nation by InterMat. Wolf placed fourth at the 2008 High School Nationals. Wolf is a three-time state placer in the state of Colorado and won the state title as a sophomore. He placed fifth in the state as a freshman and notched a third-place finish as a junior. He is a three-time all-conference honoree. Wolf has compiled a prep record of heading into his senior season. Wolf is a two-time football letterwinner. He has earned the Academic Excellence Award and maintains a 3.57 grade point average. He was a Colorado High School Athletic Association Academic All-State honorable mention honoree. He wrestled for head coaches Eric Penfold and Joe Banas in high school. He plans to major in business and minor in art at UNI. We re really excited to have Brice join our program, Penrith said. He has a great work ethic and passion for the sport. He wrestles very hard. He is in a weigh class where we need some depth. He is our first kid from Colorado since Steve Ertl.
